Grosse Pointe Shores fails to get support to ask voters about county switch
A bid to place a proposal to move the city from Wayne County to neighboring Macomb on the November ballot failed to get off the ground Tuesday night, with some council members saying the city needed more research.

Interesting to consider that people could simply vote for this, if allowed, and begin paying hundreds less in property taxes for better service. Council was too timid. Hope they reconsider or are outed.
PS. One minor consideration is that certain legal documents might need changing. There may be a simple means of handling this consideration. Resolve all these issues and put it on the ballot.
