Water intake access would bisect farm

Nov 2, 2012 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: Watauga Democrat

An appraiser who "said he specialized in condemnation" this week contacted farmer Ronnie Cooper about constructing a new access road across Cooper's farm for Boone's planned water intake facility on the South Fork of the New River.

Let me get this straight, the county got the lines wrong in the first place and now they want to condemn a piece of property on the Historic Registry. I hope the Coopers shout this from the rafters. I would pull in every media outlet I could get to listen.

Folks this is 100% an attitude problem with Boone in general the biggest part of the department heads are rude and incompetent and have a horrible attitude which spreads to every person in the entire department. The Council needs to make somme serious decisions about its employees and hire some with a decent attitude and hopefully that will spread as fast as the bad attitude did. The farmers mentioned in this story are good, hard working folks minding thier own business Boone stay away from them!

Here is another problem see the qoute from Jonathan Jordan "Jordan said he had been frustrated with his inability to obtain clear information about the project from the town".

If the state rep for Ashe and Watauga counties cannot get clear info just what is the town of Boone trying to hide

And as long as Loretta Clawson and Lynn Mason run the Boone Council like it is their own little club nothing will be clear and transparent while important issues will continue to be kicked down the road like a child kicks a can

The absolute worst pair to be in charge ever in the history of Boone, at least in my 30 years of voting.

They need to go.
