I hope the bill passes it's about time somebody put the town and the powers that be in thier place.

I'm a little confused by this. How did Boone get the authority to make the ETJ? So, these people who live in the ETJ have to abide by town ordinances, but they don't get any say in what those ordinances are? Wow.

Winkler and Templeton are all mad because the Town of Boone insisted that they have a citizen that lives within the ETJ be on their board. (That is my understanding of it) The Town of Boone provides certain services to the ETJ. It all goes back to the Steep Slope Development issues. Long story short, it's still just podunk politics.

And what services would that be since acording to the news paper article ETJ residents cannot vote in town elections, do not pay town taxes and do not receive town services.
