It seems like both the deputies stationed out in Gerlach have recently been reassigned. I heard that another child was threatened with a gun to his head while the deputy was off duty in Sparks, NV.
What is going on when we have to be fearful that those sworn to protect us are so volatile? I am personally thankful they will be gone but I am sorry for whoever has to deal with them in the future. Beware, these deputies are hot heads and not afraid to pull their guns on kids. this will not be the end to both of these guys and their mental problems.

Deputy McNeil along with his partner Eddie approached my wife from behind in our yard where she couldn't see them and her dog leaped out of the fence to protect her. Neither Deputy announced their presence but did go for their guns and threatened to shoot the dog..(both wife and dog were in our yard at the time). Their demeanor was extremely hostile and they never did say why they had entered our yard to begin with. McNeil said that if he ever seen the dog out of the pen again he would shoot her on site. Both of these Deputies a way out of line in many of their actions and dealings with the public, and both should seek counseling and research other employment opportunities outside of lawenforcement

This dog had bit, nipped or chewed on several Gerlach residents and that is what stated the incident. I am fairly certain you will hear more about the dog where ever he goes.
