The man committed a crime and just because the consulate was not informed they want to stop the execution. . . .I hope that they loose the fight and this man is put to death.

Maybe NV could start a new financial planning program.

First, look at the DOB of the murderer.

Second, look at the normaal life expectency of the murderer.

Third, determine the number of years between the two dates after the murder.

Fourth, multiply it times the cost of imprisonment (using the figures from the anti-death penalty supporters) Example: 55 years times $90,000 equals about $5 million.

Have Serbia put up that money up front to keep him alive.

Come to think of it that might just be a good plan all around. No pay, execution at dawn!

The Nevada Supreme Court has refused to overturn a conviction and death sentence imposed on Avram Nika.

He was convicted of the August 1994 murder of a Reno man who stopped along Interstate 80 to help him after his car broke down. The victim, Edward Smith, suffered 3 skull fractures and a bullet wound to the forehead.

Nika was arrested 5 days later in Chicago driving Smith's BMW.
