Well guess what all charges were dropped. None of the charges were dealing with drugs because their were no drugs. Like I said before the kids were not in the park. They were in a driveway of a friend. Getting ready to leave and cop opened up the back door of the car and grabbed my grandson. He didn't know who it was and push the man back. The cop was not dragged he ran beside the car. And the car did not hit a tree either. Cop lost his gun in the car the nexted day the kids found the gun and through it away. That is where they did wrong. One of the kids did look for the gun and found it and it was returned. So like I said the cop should not be a police officer he does not know what he is doing. I told you it will all come out at the hearing.(and it did) If you want someone like that (dropping his gun in the McDonalds) pretecting your town more power to you.

Funny thing is that I remember being in school when your grandson got a DUI I know for a fact that he does drugs.

Oh well this isn't my arguement and I'm not involved in any way.... but,my two cents anyway.

I'd rather deal with a bunch drug users and dealers any day over the cops. It is no uncommon for them to plant evidence and outright lie. Worse the district judges facilitate this behavior.

I'm long in the tooth and no kid but the things I have seen cops do over the past decade or two are atrocious. How can they expect to enforce the law when don't abide by it to begin with. These are not peace officers anymore, they are gestapo.

Oh and as far as the firearm goes..... the safety should have been on.

I understand the police force in Midway is shut down. Something was wrong other than this with my grandson. Jan the police all have safety on their guns unless this officer was useing his own. Who knows what he was doing we found out he was not on duty that night.

Usually, when there are so many lawsuits against Police Departments for abuse. They have a hard time finding a Ins. Co. to cover them. Then have to close down.

Hall was on duty that night, his shift was over when he saw the kids in the park. Another thing, Maggie, no...not all guns have a safety, take Glock (a common used firearm by police officers nation wide) and it probably was his own. Many small police depts. have the officers use their own gun.

And of course the drugs weren't found....they drove away and had all the time in the world to dump the evidence in god knows where. You people don't think. If you hated Midway cops, now you got McDonald cops. Ask the Burgettstown residence how much they enjoy being pulled over for going 6mph over the limit and how much they enjoy being arrested. Youll see.

Do you think McDonald will treat everyone the ssme? That's what we need. Instead of, If you know someone you get off with nothing. And other people are punished.

To all the kids were not in the park. Please read my post of what happened. I do not live in Midway and really don't care about the police department I do care when people are being accused of something they didn't do. And if you are speeding you should get a ticket. I have been driving for 47 years and have never got any kind of the ticket because when the sign says 35 or 25 that is the speed I go. They do post speed limits for a reason. I didn't want to get off the subject.

This is an interesting topic to still be talking about. The police in midway have always been the small town cops that knew everyone in town. That all changed when they started hiring out of towners that were never on duty. The problem with that is the state police would have to be called to 3/4 of the calls and are usually 2 to 4 hours away. Now thats good police protection. Considering the drugs that the young people are using in this town right now, its probably better we have McDonald to protect our town. The drug use is higher than ever and the crime rate has increased dramatically. I guess we will just have to mind our p's and q's a little more while driving and be thankful that we actually have a police force now.

You hit the nail on the head. There are so many people that are mad about what's been happening in the surrounding areas. But they should be mad at themselves for ignoring all the bad behavior in their community. I think it's better to have McDonald and State Police. Maybe there won't be favortism.
