That young man was my son-in-law. My two young grandchildren were in the jeep with him and saw there father killed.

We really need to do something to change these lax drunk driving laws. This young man was only 23 years old. Much to young to die in such a senseless way. Now my daughter is a widow at 23 and she has the responsibility of raising there 2 young sons on her own.

The 6 year old Nathan saw his father killed and saw things that no little boy should ever have to see in there life. The one year old Stephen will not remember his father.

And, yet Curtis Ward showed no remorse or sorrow for killing someone smiling and laughing in the courtroom. Would he be smiling and laughing if this had just happened to his child?

Maybe, he seemed to have little regard for life other than himself getting drunk again. As this is his 4th DUI or OVI and this time he killed someone.

Stacy was the sole support for his young family as my daughter is taking care of his grandmother who has cancer. And, now she is really struggling not only with the sorrow of losing her high school sweetheart and husband and the father of her 2 young boys.

So sad

I am very sorry to hear about this happening. I will keep your family in my prayers and I totally agree about the law not being strict enough on the drinking and driving in ohio. I am sure he was leaving the former Stoney Ridge if it happened in Monroe.. where cops knows people get drunk all the time there but dont watch it like they should. My thoughts and prayers are with your family and i hope that you guys seek justice for this.

i feel for this family only GOD can help these little boys and the wife.the guy who did this needs to be behind bars for a long time.i think the FIRST time they get in trouble for a d.u.i. they need to get there license pulled for a long time they are not the ones who pays for there mistakes other people do like these 2 little babies now left with no father and the pain the wife has to deal with and the parents that lost there son .so these people SUFFER because someone made a STUPID CHOICE TO DRINK AND DRIVE
