My biggest concern is the affect this will have in the students. We teach them to just say NO to drugs - then the same people who tell them this and are supposed to set a good example go ahead and sell drugs. Now kids think - Well if a teacher does drugs then it is OK if we do them as well. I hope they offer the students counseling and also think like children in school the teachers should have random drug testing as well.

It's so sad to hear the teacher's that was involved with this drug bust. I have to say it's going to be hard to trust teacher's now. I'm not throwing stones at anyone, if they had a problem with addiction we really can't judge Especially if we haven't walked in their shoes,HOWEVER I just don't think it's okay to have teacher's be a part of selling weather it's prescribed drug or Crack...... they should be fired and they need help. I certainly don't want my children to have to deal with that from teachers. It's bad enough they have to to deal with peer pressure and temptations from school. I'm just disappointed. It just goes to show NO ONE CAN BE TRUSTED....... not even TEACHERS!!!!

All teachers AND school administrators should be regularly tested for drugs. Perfect example: the BASD "swap" deals. They didn't understand it, couldn't explain it, thought it was the best deal in down, and forced it on us (who now have to pay). Who else but a drug user would think like that?

Teachers getting drug tested.....not gonna happen. The teachers union would never pass that. Teachers have the right to to drugs or drink excessively, until caught. Mean while the students these drug addicts are teaching can be tested. There's a civic lesson on equal treatment, civil liberties and abuse of power.

People are saying we should give them a fair chance just because they are teachers. That is a crock of SHIT! so just because a cop goes and kills and innocent person because they dont like them, we should give him a fair chance too? These people are coming out to be teachers so they can set an example for the students. Kevin Kane may not be the only one that did this, the other guys are in just as much trouble as he is, but they are not really big in the community, just the drug world. He is more known, which of course is gonna cause him to be in the spotlight much more then everyone else. By doing all this, he knew there was going to be a chance of getting caught. And he should have been smart enough to think of the consequences. I honestly, he deserves to sit and rot in jail for lying and decieving the whole school into thinking he was an honest and just man who never did anything wrong, just because he was a very important football coach..

YourShtdontStink- I couldn't have said it better!! I know a few of the people involved in this and I don't think anyone can sit here and put these people down until you know exactly what happened. Everyone makes mistakes, and these people and their families are already suffering from the spotlight the media has put on them. I agree that they should be setting an example for these children but they are only human and who are we to judge them?? There were also over 30 people involved in this drug bust but all of the attention and negative feedback is only being directed towards the teachers and there were people far more involved in this than just the teachers. I am sure everyone commenting about this has some type of addiction in their life but no one is throwing stones at you for it so give these people a fair chance to prove their innocense.
you must be crazy these people are druggies, I dont care it you are a teacher, doctor, lawyer or whatever a druggie is a druggie, they just happen to be under cover druggies, no better than the ones in the street, I would not want my kids taught by any of them, no wonder the kids loved them they were high when they would along with the kids better.

dont be stupid they admitted it in there college years, where alot of us went crazy, now that we are older we know better, and being a teacher they really should have known better.

The reaction should be simple. Pull their teaching credentials, never allow them to teach in the US ever again, and let them spend some time in jail reminding them of their total stupidity.
