Bloomsbury, neighbors would suffer if a truck transfer station is built in Franklin, Warren County
To the Editor: Apparently members of the Franklin Township Land Use Board never sat in traffic trying to maneuver Route 173 at Exit 7. I've lived in Bloomsbury for 25 years.

My work has taken me all over this state and others. I have worked near many truck stops over the last 40 years and I can tell you that not only Bloomsbury will suffer but the entire valley. This depot WILL alter the ecology and wildlife will change forever. The air will turn a blue haze and become acrid. Bloomsbury will be affected because of it's proximity but the prevailing winds will carry this up the river valley toward Asbury as well as over the hills and beyond. Let the people who want this, take a trip to a major truck depot, spend a week there, then come back and say, "that's where I want to move. I'll bet not one of them are in the affected area. And if they are, are ignorant of the facts. Forget the experts for the developer, they're going to tell you what you want to hear. Don't be fooled. This is not good.
