What with all the national financial problems, a mounting trade deficit, the looming fiscal cliff, a national debt that will NEVER be repaid, tax increases at EVERY level, and, most importantly, astronomical rising secondary education costs, did WKU really need a new alumni center????? This is what's wrong with this country and why we are going to hell in a hand-basket!!!

Building was built by private support, not tuition or state dollars.

You act as if WKU is the only organization in the country with a construction project. The entire project was funded by donations from WKU alumni. Education costs are rising mostly because of the states' refusal to financially support their public universities.

You may want to complain to YUM! brands about the Pizza Hut and Taco Bell they just built on Nashville Road too. Jeeze.
