The Rock a foundation for local kids

Since it opened its doors last fall, The Rock Student Center in downtown Monroe has bloomed into one of the largest attractions to local youth.

The Rock (youth church) wouldn't be charging undereducated, impoverished Children of monroe 3 dollars admission on Fridays to play video games and profit from their snack bar if they were really concerned about "helping the poor".

Ironic the article goes on to say that they need "volunteerism" - a form of free adult labor... And there's free food on Thursday from faith-based institutions if the kids can endure the bully pulpit of his preaching- No wonder there's such praise for Je$u$.

What about 4-H and Campfire groups? At least they're not mindlessly playing video games!

I myself have been inside the so called Christian center on a teen night. I was checking it out before letting any of my children attend and I was shocked. There were several couches near the back with very young teens getting way too comfortable IMO. There is no way I will ever let any of my children attend such a place. Yes I am up to times and understand times have changed but when you see several 12-14 yr. olds snuggling up like they are married it gives ya a sick sense of feelings that can only be felt by a parent.

It looked more like a teen porn hideaway that any Christian center I have ever seen.
