Waller County Sheriff's Race: Grenades & Gun-Toting Campaign Managers

There's a pretty interesting election going on for boss of the sheriff's department in Waller County, a mostly rural area on the western border of Harris County.

I AM MADDD at R. Glenn Smith! How dare this man get in front of potential voters and LIE - Just like the politician he is!
I went to the court house last night to see the debate. I had not ever been to any of the forums and did I ever get an ear full of BS from RG Smith. I have never seen him in person.

My next door neighbor is a prominent business owner here in Hempstead. He told me that R. G. Smith came by his business and told them something to the effect of "I know that I have made mistakes here in Hempstead and alot of people are upset with me, but do you REALLY want a BLACK MAN as Sheriff?".

It is despicable that any human being can think that they can get away with the things that HE has done, and still think that we, the citizens of Hempstead will support him. NO WAY!

Because I have respect for all people, I did not post the actual word that RG SMITH Used. He did not use the word "BLACK" but a very derogatory word that starts with an N$@@&R.

SHAME SHAME SHAME - We cannot afford this type of mentality in Waller County, he has done enough damage to the reputation of Hempstead.

My neighbor was so taken back by this idiot, that he told me "Being a dedicated, lifelong Republican for 40 years, he was NOT going to vote a straight ticket, and he would split it and for the first time, vote for a Democrat!. I too, will do the same. I am going to tell everyone that I know, the same thing.

I have known Jeron Barnette for the better part of 15 years, it is my opinion that he is the right man for the job as Waller County Sheriff, he will bring honesty and a since of well being to the department as well as the citizens of Waller Co. I feel honored to have known this gentleman as long as i have and wish him all the best of luck in tomorrow election, if you would like an honest sheriff in Waller Co. I would vote for Jeron Barnette, this is a vote you can't go wrong with, so i urge all the great citizens of Waller to get out and vote for Jeron. I have know Glenn Smith for all my life and I have NEVER heard him say anything along the lines of saying of " Do you really want a Black Person or N***R as sheriff. I have known Glenn for 27 years and have never even heard him say the word N***R. So I think either your friend may of misunderstood him or you have gotten your lines crossed. I think it is very petty for you to write something like this if you do not know what you are talking about.

Glenn Smith is probably the biggest idiot I have personally ever met. When he was with a narcotics task force in southeast texas several years ago, he was investigated for buying motor cycles and all the leather and such wityh credit he aquired using his Alias name and ID. This is just one of about 30 different things I personally know about him but this one just lets you know what kind of liar, cheat and theif he is. This guy thinks he is Gods Gift to everything including law enforcement as a hole. I could go on and on but Glenn is not worth spending the time on. All I can say is don't trust him, he will smile and talk great when he is looking at you in the face but stab you in the back with a sword when you walk away. If all the dirt came out about Glenn, the fool would be in prison!! It is trash like him, running of a name and a good line of B.S., that gives all officers of the law a bad name.

I TOTALLY agree with "Officer with knowledge" about Smith. I worked with him for years with the TABC in Beaumont. He talks a good game (a typical politician) but will stab you in the back QUICK!! He's the type of person that will be friends with whoever is around and at the same time be talking very badly of those not around at the time. He is LAZY. I remember him nearly ALWAYS being late for work. He is pathetic. He likes to "suck up" to those with money and power. All others he couldn't give a rats a$$ about. Very poor excuse for a police officer. I know what I am talking about because I have worked with him SIDE BY SIDE, same shift, same vehicle!!!!
