Hello,
My name is Darin and I am an OEF Veteran with 5 1/2 years of active duty service. I am trying to see if I can find enough local Ron Paul supporters to start a group in Volusia Country (though I am as east as you can get without going for a long swim.)

Right now, the base of operations will be located on facebook page "Volusia County Volunteers for Ron Paul 2012". I can also be reached at (vetforronpaul@gmail.com). Below, I've included the intro. I would also like to say that I will gladly field questions about Dr. Paul's policies and why -need- to support him. Thank you for your time.

"One of the biggest reasons Florida didn't vote for Ron Paul in 2008 is that everyone voted based on simple perceived popularity. When asked, most people didn't even know the policies of the candidate they were voting for. To change that (and do to a lack local groups) I've created this group in the hopes of organizing fellow Liberty and Ron Paul supporters. Some of the possible activities could range from street corner sign waving to showing up at the polls to educate people about Dr. Paul's policies. This is one of the most important presidential elections in U.S. history. For our economy, for our security, for our Constitutional Rights I ask anyone within Volusia that will vote for Ron Paul to join if only to stay informed."

Hello Darin,

I just started the West Volusia Group for Ron Paul meetup group. I am in Deltona. There is also a group in New Smyrna of which will be having a sign wave this Saturday at 3pm. We will gather out at the Kmart there on 44 in New Smyrna near the Burger King which is in the same parking lot.

Currently there is like only 10 members for the New Smyrna group and being I literally just started my group about an hour ago I have only one member which is me. But we had a good size group back in the 2008 campaign so I am sure some f those folks will be joining back soon.

If you think you can make it to the sign wave let the New Smyrna group know. If you have signs bring them. If not let someone know. Maybe you can fill in and hold someone else's sign if they need a break or something like that. And if we are lucky we will have some extras.

If there is anyone else you know who would to help out then invite them to help, sign wave, make calls, etc. whatever they are willing to do. Sign waves are fun. I am bringing my whole family on Saturday. Hope to see you there.

If you are a young guy with a lot of friends convince them to come out, have a good time, maybe get a beer afterwords that kind of thing. Make a social event out of it. If your friends do not know Ron Paul and seem lazy about it, just challenge them to come out once and see what they think. One thing about it, I have been in a lot of sign waves and nothing is more fun than when a ton of people come. Not much time for this one to get more people but definitely doing what we can for the best turn out we can.

Good day,
Larry

Also I think this meetup group is much closer to you for Ron Paul supporters. I am coming to this groups sign wave on Saturday at 3 so that we have a lot of people there. I am bringing 5 people and my fried is coming with 4. Some people in my group are also coming.
