We have drugs being sold at Ralph Carter park in Palm Coast, which is right next door to an elementry school. Last year six gun shots were fired as a result of a turf war for drug sales.
The city needs to close this park to protect our children.

Parents need to realize that sending your child off to school is the most ridiculous idea for this day and age. There are myriad homeschooling programs that circumvent the ignorance and uneducated state of most parents. The child can learn in the safety of his or her home and cut out the whole antiquated idea of sending your child off for others to educate them. We have the most informative, most powerful learning tools at our fingertips now. We need to use them.

Go over to " ourvolusiaschools.net (com?)" written by Mr. Paul Hale. While here in Volusia County they are begging for more money "for the children's safety", he's the one who pointed out that every gate at every school has the same key. This is on orders of Mr. Russ Tysinger's maintenance department, yes folks, the guy in charge of the back hoes sees to your children's safety. These keys are issued to staff, but there is no accountability, or even knowledge of how many keys are out there. No one knows how many disgruntled ex employees, angry parents, whackos, or even students have the key. Even worse, it's a common masterlock key that can be bought at any hardware store. I'm all for protecting our children, but maybe they should clean house, get someone in charge that knows about security, and cares for the welfare of our children, when they are asking for more money. What's the point of getting more security money from the state if you are going to hand it over to, as mad magazine states, "the usual gang of idiots". Don't get me started on the recent increase of pedofiles who have been caught working for Volusia Schools recently (I think the guy who hires has a copy of lolita on his desk), the porn that was shown to a high school class, or the number of employees with previous arrests...these are the people around our children folks.
