S. Vermillion High School on lockdown

South Vermillion High School was placed on lockdown Thursday afternoon. Just before 2:00 p.m. police were called to the school after a student attempted to stab a teacher.

I've got the lowdown.. the girl went into her spanish class with her face painted white with blood coming out of the side of her lip, all the students ran screaming out of the classroom that "she's got a knife" and she threatened the teacher. don't know what happened after that, but i had about a million cop cars down the street from my house and they might have been chasing her down, but it could have been a totally unrelated situation. this girl was on drill team, and cross country team for the school. i know names but don't want to say, it'll get out eventually

I heard from one of the students that the girl who did this was actually outside of the school near the spanish room (there is an exterior door there) and she was beating on the door. The spanish teacher let her in (with the face paint on and all) and she attacked her. Crazy. I was on drill team a few years ago, and those kind of girls were definitely not on there. Just goes to show you that you never know what someone is capable of doing.

My son came home from school saying that he was in P. E. at the time but, he heard she missed 4th period and cut her face, painted it and tried to stab the teacher. He told me her name also. Says she is a junior and on the drill team. I went to SVHS and there wasn't any of this crazy crap going on when I went there. What a difference a generation makes!
