You need to put down the magnifying glass and look in the mirror. You are SPECULATING that she was talking on the phone. You have JUDGED a person and you have no knowledge about the case. I think it is time for you to read my previous comment in this section. Jessicas own grandmother says she is praying for the driver who lived. Maybe you should do the same. I leave you with this comment.
It is better to be silent and let people think you are stupid, then it is to open your mouth and prove it.
I didn't open my mouth when typed this, you idiot. LOL!!

I don't need to follow your advice. Feel free to shove it up your _ss!

That's wonderful the grandmother is so forgiving. It doesn't mean I'm not entitled to my opinion.

You are the one showing his stupidity. Pull your head out before you suffocate.

The minor mistakes I made didn't kill someone, you moron. Damn, you're stupid to make that comparison.

You are the moron for calling names. Of course our mistakes did not take anyone's lives but is it necessary to call her parents names to? I was TRYING to make you understand that you DO NOT need to attack everyone. Put yourself in her parents shoes if you can. Imagine how they feel.. if you can. You are coming across like you are perfect. I at NO TIME said it was ok for what this girl did BUT AT LEAST I have some compassion for her.

Why do you feel the need to cuss so much? No one said you could not have an opinion but we are allowed to have ours back.

IT AMAZES ME THAT THAT THOSE TWO PASSED AWAY AND THIS DUMBFUCK WALKS FREE, WHERES THE JUSTICE IN THAT? AND TO THE PEOPLE WHO ARE SAYING SHIT LIKE "EVERYONE MAKES MISTAKES", YOU KNOW WHAT? THAT IS A BUNCH OF BULLSHIT. A MISTAKE WOULD BE FORGETTING TO PICK UP YOUR BROTHER FOR SCHOOL. A MISTAKE WOULD BE FORGETTING YOUR DAD'S BIRTHDAY. HOW IN THE HELL CAN YOU JUSTIFY WHAT THIS GIRL DID? NO ONE, I MEAN NO ONE, SHOULD BE MAKING LIGHT OF THIS SITUATION. THIS GIRL DESERVES TO BE CONDEMNED HER WHOLE LIFE, IF THAT'S WHAT IT WILL TAKE TO TEACH HER A LESSON. SHE COMMITTED MURDER, SHE DESERVES TO LIVE WITH THIS HER WHOLE LIFE. TWO PEOPLE DIED AND SHE WALKS FREE, AND YOU PEOPLE ARE DEFENDING HER? I AM DUMBFOUNDED BY THIS. AS FAR AS IM CONCERNED, THIS GIRL NEEDS TO BE PUT AWAY BEHIND BARS. SHE SURRENDERED HER RIGHTS WHEN SHE GOT BEHIND THE WHEEL WITH A PHONE IN HER HANDS. SHE DOES NOT DESERVE TO WALK FREE LIKE EVERYONE ELSE. SHE COMMITTED A HORRIBLE CRIME AND NEEDS TO PAY.
None of us are defending but being honest. She is already condemned because she has to live with what she did the rest of her life. Reread the comments.. we are seeing both sides of it. Would we feel different if it was are own child? I don't know. But after the angry comes forgiveness.

Who would wanna forgive her? This is not something you can just brush off of your shoulders and move on from. This is death. This is a little more serious than just simple forgiveness. She broke the law under two offenses.

1. She was speeding
2. She was texting

She also committed murder. Whether it was intentional or not, its still not to be taken lightly and the person who committed does not deserve any compassion WHATSOEVER. I know I'd feel differently if this idiot wasn't texting OR speeding. But for the simple fact that she texted AND sped while she was driving, I feel she deserves no compassion. Every comment that's been said so far is completely justified as far as I'm concerned.

Cuss so much? Your mommy really sheltered you, if you think I "cussed" a lot in that post.

Secondly, learn to read. If you knew how to, you would have known I was responding to someone who was stupid enough to think they have the authority to tell others what to write.

If you were the fool who wrote "haven't you ever made a mistake in your life" in response to this story, you are one dumb biotch. I'm far from perfect and have not "come across" that way, unless you're a total airhead. I've never killed anyone.(yet) There's a HUGE difference between minor mistake and killing someone. Amazing you don't get that!

Good for you, you have compassion for her. It doesn't mean I have to, you freakin' idiot.

The driver was not texting or speeding. Read the article in the Moorpark Acorn. Her phone records have been given to the police and shows she was not on the phone. Before anyone condemns this girl wait until the police finish their investigation. The media was wrong on this one. Also 3 out of 4 witnesses also say she did not run a red light according to the vcstar.

She absolutely ran a red light, not on purpose, but it she did. She was also speeding. Her Navigator hit the compact Honda with such force it shot it all the way across the intersection, shoved another car out of the way and both ended up on someones front yard. I was trapped in that intersection with my young daughter watching the firemen use the jaws of life and pumping on someones(Now I know as Oliver) chest. Every single person had their hand over their mouth, even the police looked like they were in shock. I dont know the reason the 17yr old ran the red, but I know it happened. I've read the Acorn article, and it says there were no texts made. It also says there were calls made at the time of the accident. Maybe she looked away, maybe she hit the gas instead of the break? I pray for her too. Everynight someone sits on that corner and lights the candles. It's so heartbreaking.

Navigator?! That shows incredible stupidity on the part of her parents. A relatively new driver in a very heavy, hard to control, unstable SUV. Yeah, that's real smart. Now I'm glad her moronic parents will probably bear the brunt of the consequences!$$$

I don't think her parents will have to pay any damages. I think the girl will get off with a slap on the wrist, a traffic citation for running the light and causing and accident. Her family owns a well known business in Simi and her parents pump a lot of money into local politics.

Well then, hopefully one of them will die a slow painful death some time soon, either the girl or the parents.

My Heart goes out to everyone on both sides of the fence. I hope that this is a lesson to be paid attention to. While behind the wheel of any vehicle you have to be into it totally and not half off somewhere else. I am not sure what caused the accident but just wanted to say that no matter how it happened let it be a big wakeup call. I feel sorry for this person and also for the other families. This driver that ran the light didnt intentially do it and didnt set out to go do it. IT was an accident, that is all. Have some sympathy and kindness at least.

I am a friend of the two who died, and a friend of the driver of who killed them. She deserves what ever happened to her, but you fucking people need to learn this could happen to anyone, so dont you dare call her a dumbfuck, my friends died because of her and i hate her for that, but she was a good person and she wishes she could be dead instead of them, and her family cant make it through a whole day. So before you go talk shit and call her names think about if her family are reading this messages, they have been through enough. and about the stokes family and jessicas family dont you think thy have been through enough? dont put your fucking teo sense in because it doesnt even fucking matter, she will not walk free, but locking her up doesnt bring back my friends. She will pay for what she did and she can never look back and i am glad she has to face what she brought on herself. but no of this will bring my friends back.

Well you "opened" your mouth and everyone see's how stupid you really are. Just like I had planned. Thanks. Anything that you write after this will just make you look like the douche that you really are.
I would pray for you to see all sides but it is apparent you know more than everyone including the simi valley pd, the people who were IN the accident, and all of the witnesses. I see people like you all day long. STUPID, IGNORANT AND ARROGANT. You have the makings of a liberal attorney. "Forget the facts, I will tell you what happened."

My advice to you, SHUT THE FUCK UP UNTIL YOU KNOW THE FACTS!!!!!!!!!! IF YOU DONT WANT MY ADVICE FINE. SHUT THE FUCK UP ANYWAYS.

Nope. Just because you type it, doesn't make it so.(Must be some GREAT drugs you're on to believe that.)

You're the one who continues to cry and whine. Shoot, it's been almost a month and you're too stupid to let it go. Had you not posted, I certainly wouldn't have.

Cry some more. Feel free.
