Lock that dumb biotch up.

Idiots are not paying attention to their driving. I see close calls virtually ever day. When I get a better look, they're doing something other than concentrating on the road.

We need more unmarked cars. I see idiots all the time on their effing phones, then when a cop is near, down they go. Then right back up, when the cop passes.

your a joke, like you have never looked at your phone when your driving? i knew the people who died and i knew the driver of the car that hit them yes she deserves to be punished, i loved oliver very much and to know that he is gone is horrible. but that girl who hit them is going through a really hard time and yes i will never look at her the same and i hope she gets punished but before you go and call her a bitch is f'ed up because she cant go on living after what she did she hates her self and i hate her right now to, but this could happen to anyone so please do not text and drive or try to beat the yellow light you do not want to be in this girls positon or be the family member or friend of the victims. RIP OLIVER STOKES AND JESSICA GOD BLESS YOU, YOU'LL BE MISSED AND IN OUR HEARTS FOREVER

Needless to say this is horrible. As someone who was there and saw it I would ask you to put yourself, or better yet, put YOUR daughter in both positions and see how you would feel. Either way lives are gone, families devastated, and we need to move forward to ensure that this doesn't happen. It is easy to offer opinions on punishment, but lets see if you can offer a "real solution" to the problem. If you can, you will be doing more good than writing in a blog about locking her up.

I hope that this horrible and fatal accident teaches all of us a lesson not to get distracted by texting or doing God knows what, because I am sure this girl must have been texting or something else to crash in to this car and destroy peoples lives.

I too saw the accident, and it was tragic. @FRIEND, I never look at my phone while I’m driving, because no call (or text) is worth a life. There’s simply nobody or no call that can’t wait. Period. When all is said and done, two are dead because a teenager couldn’t put her phone down, and although it is sad that her family must endure this tragedy, I have no compassion for her. She murdered two people. That’s the reality of what happened. She deserves to be punished for her crime. Everybody knows the danger of texting and driving, and when you play that game, it’s like waving a loaded gun – sooner or later somebody will die. If you play, and somebody dies, there’s little room for sympathy for the killer. Sorry. That’s my unemotional put on the issue.

This is What Happen When Ppl Dont Think . everyone Makes Mistakes, No ones Perfect, But Bcuz Of that Little Mistake The 2 People Who Diedd Family Are Gona B So Hurt . I'm Sure They Will Forgive But They'l Never Forget . But People Make Mistakes All The Time Doesnt Mean u Need To Call The Girl Names Or Anything , Bcuz if u Guys Were in Her sitiuation You Would Be Devestaded . Yes, She Does Diffinatly Need 2 Be Punished For What She Did, & it Just Shouldnt B a Little Slap On The Wrist Because This Is Serious. No Ones Life Shuld B Takin For Someones Mistake .

Two recent California motor vehicle laws have been enacted specifically to avoid tragedies like this: 1) Use hands free devices for cell phones while driving; 2)NO, I repeat NO texting while driving.

Yet I repeatedly see all types of drivers, teens, mothers with kids in their SUVs, contractors, etc. blatantly ignoring these laws. You can usually tell who they are by their inattentive driving.

Hopefully, this terrible accident will heighten our need to be fully focused on driving safely & courteously.

YOU'RE (correct spelling) an idiot for assuming I have. As a matter of fact, I don't. I'm not as needy as most people. I don't need to be wired 24/7 to family & friends, in order to feel validated.

That's what voicemail is for, Retard.

It's very simple. Dumbshyts like her need to turn the phone off while driving.

A nice LONG sentence might make the next dumb_ss think twice about doing it. She's a real POS and so are her parents for not teaching her better.

The girl who hit them will be punished in a court of law I am sure BUT she is already punished with the fact that she will have to live with the result of her mistake the rest of her life. Yes, she does get to live when the other 2 don't. But I am guessing she has probably already wished she was died to. She made a horrible mistake but she is 17 people. It doesn't excuse her but at the same time she is NOT an adult & is still learning life's lessons. Only this is the lesson none of us want for our children. Did she act dumb yes but there is really no reason for name calling.

Did you pay attention to every lesson your parents tried to teach you? I know there was times I didn't and it is the same for almost every teenager out there. So did that make me a pos to?

When my Grandaughter gets to heaven only God can expain why and what plans he has for her as why he
took her so soon in her life. We are not here to
judge 'YOU WITHOUT SIN CAST THE FIRST STONE'.Jess is in Heaven with out Lord she has earned her wings. Yes we will miss her terribly she doesn't need prayer as she is with our Lord, PLEASE pray for the other driver she has to live with this for
the rest of her life. I pray for her family as well. EVERYONE out there teens, adults, everyone
PLEASE PUT YOUR CELL PHONES DOWN.

I am so, so sorry for the loss of your granddaughter Jessicas Grandmother. I drive through that intersection no less than 4 times a day. It's between my house, my parents, daycare and work. I say a prayer each time and am so inspired by the outpouring of love by all of her and Olivers friends and family. The Candles are always lit, the flowers, the chalk, the signs..they were obviously so very loved.

You need to put down the magnifying glass and look in the mirror. You are SPECULATING that she was talking on the phone. You have JUDGED a person and you have no knowledge about the case. I think it is time for you to read my previous comment in this section. Jessicas own grandmother says she is praying for the driver who lived. Maybe you should do the same. I leave you with this comment.
It is better to be silent and let people think you are stupid, then it is to open your mouth and prove it.

IT AMAZES ME THAT THAT THOSE TWO PASSED AWAY AND THIS DUMBFUCK WALKS FREE, WHERES THE JUSTICE IN THAT? AND TO THE PEOPLE WHO ARE SAYING SHIT LIKE "EVERYONE MAKES MISTAKES", YOU KNOW WHAT? THAT IS A BUNCH OF BULLSHIT. A MISTAKE WOULD BE FORGETTING TO PICK UP YOUR BROTHER FOR SCHOOL. A MISTAKE WOULD BE FORGETTING YOUR DAD'S BIRTHDAY. HOW IN THE HELL CAN YOU JUSTIFY WHAT THIS GIRL DID? NO ONE, I MEAN NO ONE, SHOULD BE MAKING LIGHT OF THIS SITUATION. THIS GIRL DESERVES TO BE CONDEMNED HER WHOLE LIFE, IF THAT'S WHAT IT WILL TAKE TO TEACH HER A LESSON. SHE COMMITTED MURDER, SHE DESERVES TO LIVE WITH THIS HER WHOLE LIFE. TWO PEOPLE DIED AND SHE WALKS FREE, AND YOU PEOPLE ARE DEFENDING HER? I AM DUMBFOUNDED BY THIS. AS FAR AS IM CONCERNED, THIS GIRL NEEDS TO BE PUT AWAY BEHIND BARS. SHE SURRENDERED HER RIGHTS WHEN SHE GOT BEHIND THE WHEEL WITH A PHONE IN HER HANDS. SHE DOES NOT DESERVE TO WALK FREE LIKE EVERYONE ELSE. SHE COMMITTED A HORRIBLE CRIME AND NEEDS TO PAY.

We agree that mistakes are mistakes as far as forgetting something like forgetting to pick up somebody or putting down the toilet seat etc.But the law is the law.Just as 1 beer is also against the law and even if your not drunk because most people dont get drunk off 1 beer and you hit someone and kill them its murder also.So texting and not using hands free is also against the law and you get the same domino effect. We feel bad for both sides but agree she should be punished because her carelessness did cost 2 precious lives including her own.It only takes 1 tex 1 second to change your life forever so lets all be careful and put down those phones.God bless all

The minor mistakes I made didn't kill someone, you moron. Damn, you're stupid to make that comparison.
