Am I missing something??? So the testimony is the gay kid walked in front of the killer, the killer looked angry so this is sexual harassment from the gay kid? Did the gay kid come on to the killer? Did the gay kid grab the killer's crotch? Or is it America is so f'd up that being gay and pissing off someone is somehow the gay person's fault.

Hmmm... America so rightfully deserves to go down this hole we are currently sinking in.

Oh! Give the kid a break! The blame lies with the school authorities for allowing some little queer to dress up like a girl and tease other kids.

And did the little queer really think he was going to get away with that sort of behavior? What idiots!

So if I get a visit by mormon missionaries or jehovah's witnesses to try to get me to convert, that is grounds to kill them?
Also, what is a 14 year old doing with a gun?
What a f##ked up country we live in!

sounds alot like it was 4o or so years ago when a gang of white guys at school would beat a black guy almost to death and got away with it, but hey it was ok the black guy asked for it He Looked At a WHITE GIRL! In some areas that still happens but most people dont accept it as they once did!

This is dumb. Try putting things in perspective. If a boy was showing unwanted interest and attention to a girl, teasing her and "taunting" her and she shot him in the head, would people be blaming the boy? Hell no! They would blame the girl who pulled the f-ing trigger.

That is exactly what should be done here. They are kids. Kids tease eachother. Kids have not yet learned all appropriate boundries. That is just part of being a kid.

Kids do NOT normally shoot eachother in the head. That is grossly ABnormal and should be treated as such.

This really isn't a "gay issue" this is simply a case of one young boy shooting another young boy. End of story.

So let me get this straight (pardon the pun). A straight kid taunts a gay kid, it's the straight kid's fault. So far so good. If a gay kid taunts a straight kid, it's the straight kid's fault.

Certainly, I'm not condoning murder and the idiot straight kid should be held responsible despite his "reasons" for doing it. But isn't it fascinating that the usual brainless idiots in here are falling all over themselves to rationalize that the idiot gay kid is free of any responsibility for his stupid behavior.

Or in eJohn's words, "Is anybody surprised?"

And to all of you who think this country sucks so bad because everything isn't just the way you want it to be, you're "so rightly" every bit part of the problem as those you'd like to blame. And if this country is so "f###ked up," Brian, try Canada. Some have, with results that they prefer. They have the same sex marriage and you'll have no major language difficulty. Of course, you'll have to invent some other reason that your life is "f###ed up." But I have faith that you can come up with all sorts of reasons to blame everybody else for people not liking you for being a complete jerk.

Okay, will you say that next time there's a story about straight kids teasing a gay kid? This is a question, not an accusation.

You hve a point, but there is a difference between teasing and hurtful harrassment. I'm not saying that King was right in his behavior. But to use his behavior to justify what the other boy did to him is way wrong.

The school board allows some of the teachers to dress up like a girl
.
Do you want to kill them too?

First Degree Murder.
Hate Crime.
Guilty.

Lawrence King behaved in a thoughtless manner, and responsible adults at the school should have intervened.

Brandon McInerney was a kid whose family physically and sexually abused him, turning him into a sociopathic monster, and he planned, thought out, prepared, and committed a cold-blooded murder against a 13-year-old boy who was unarmed, and posed absoltely no physical threat to McInerney.

Say what you want about the poor late Lawrence King. Just make sure you lock up Brandon McInerney for a good, long time, in a prison, where he will be safe from homosexuality.(ha ha)

Wow. What other justifications for murder can you come up with?

So, it's the school's job to enforce conformity and suppress individuality? They don't have any obligation to, say, prevent kids from bringing weapons to school, or provide a safe learning environment? You find the kid that pulled the trigger completely blameless, do you?

Not sure I agree, entirely. He acted in a CHILDISH manner, certainly, but hey, he WAS a child. What else could be expected?

It's not as if this kind of behavior is without precedent. I think it's more than common for boys to taunt or tease the object of their affections. But when girls are the target, the behavior is allowed to slide. "He LIKES you!" the girls are told, as if this excuses the unwanted behavior, and the girls are expected to have a revelation, and realize that they're actually supposed to DESIRE the clumsy, humiliating attention. But if it's male-on-male attention, then there's suddenly some "affrontery", because for some reason boys aren't supposed to be put in the girls' place, and see how it feels.

I'm not excusing the behavior, there was certainly a missed opportunity for intervention and education. But I don't see what kind of message it sends kids when society looks the other way when girls are subjected to this instead of boys.

Oh, HERE'S the expert on the subject. What were YOUR lessons like?

Don't make crap up just to provide yourself with an opportunity to slander. Homosexuality isn't "learned" at ALL, and you know it. You're just trying to be incendiary again, instead of informative, insightful or intelligent.
