Professor David Gillespie has just published a book, "Challengers to Duopoly" which shows that minor parties have contributed 65 major policy ideas to U.S. politics during the last 150 years. Minor parties help the U.S. by circulating ideas and information that major party candidates won't mention. Prop. 14 eliminates minor party campaigns during the all-important general election season, when must people are interested in hearing ideas and debating them.
