Cheney Protesters Told To Be Courteous, Obey Law

The city is advising people to be courteous and obey the law if they plan to demonstrate when the vice president speaks at the Brigham Young University commencement April 26.
The advisory was issued in response to multiple inquiries, said Provo city spokeswoman Raylene Ireland.
``We support free expression and political debate, and welcome the free exchange of ideas,'' the advisory said. ``In order to respect and protect the rights of all citizens to express their opinions in the public forum, Provo City leaders encourage conduct that supports civil, peaceful discourse.''
