Poor Nathel Hailey, bless his heart, screams RACIST, the sky is falling!

Nathel Hailey, disabled former Allvac employee (they didn't call him a "worker" for obvious reasons) has ascended to the throne of the Union County chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. As local president of that organization, known as the NAACP, whose members are properly "colored" and sometimes "colorful", Nathel frequently scatches at the bottom of the political barrel to drag up something, anything which will inflame the public and give him an excuse to point his finger and scream RACIST.
After many failed attempts to find something controversial and generate publicity for his organization Hailey has at last struck gold by screaming "RACIST" at Parkwood High School's Rebel mascot.
First letters to the Enquirer and stories on channels 9, 36 and Mews 14 carried erroneous information meant to inflame the most liberal of liberals, and cause African Americans to think ugly thoughts. The falsehoods spread by the NAACP interviws, whether intentional or because of misunderstanding were (1) A Confederate soldier was the mascot and was on school logo and apparel--NOT TRUE. For at least 10 years (probably longer, no one is sure) the school has had no mascot. The logo is a shield with a P on it.(2) Black students are ashamed, frightened and feel harassed by being known as the Rebels---NOT TRUE. The overwhelming number of students, both black and white who support keeping the Rebel name is nearly 80% according to a poll conducted in December. Black students and former students post positive notes about the Parkwood Rebel mascot regularly on facebook.
Poor Nathel Hailey.
We folk raised in the south know that the polite thing to do when someone is so niave that they make a fool of themself and don't even know it, is to say "bless his heart"
Poor Nathel Hailey, bless his heart.

Well it is going to stay parkwood rebals it says in the paper. I rally dont have a problem with it. There is some who wont to eliminate all history of confederate and Genral Lee and so forth. They wont to take down the soldier monuments and so forth. I think it is wrong because it is histroy and those soldiers wanted to be free from the us union and they believe in it enough to fight and die. To them it was no different than there grand daddy fighting against the British for independence from England. They didn't own no slave and that was not why they fighted.

Someone took my words from here, changed them a bit and added to them and sent them to the Home News. I realize that the internet is a public place and nothing is sacred. Instead of being incensed I am a bit flattered that someone borrowed, or stole what I wrote.
