How many more slaps on the wrists is this principal going to receive?? UCPS Board of Education please wake up! What other policies is he not following and what affects could all of this render on the students and the overall reputation of the school? He has been in the news twice for not adhering to policies! He needs to be terminated as Principal of Forest Hills High School! Simple. Suspend him indefinitely without pay! Forest Hills has a bad enough reputation without the main character making it worse!

That principal is using common sense when it comes to policies that were written by people that have never been a principal. That teacher will never find a job that you can follow the policies 100%.

Kevin Plue is a great principal. There is good reason, especially at Forest Hills, to relax the rules and give plenty of leeway on missed assignments. Plue knows what he is doing and he's right.

If Kevin Plue followed the school policies exactly he would have to fail half the school. Some say thats what needs to happen. Yea right, blacks would scream racism and the white parents would never admit that they failed their kids. Plue would be replaced by a black principal that couldn't ever be accused of doing wrong. The 25 year old teacher
just realized that the number 1 rule is don't forget who's signing your check.

We don't know all the facts with this case so we shouldn't be judging the teacher or the Principal. The question really is why is the teacher suspended with pay, but not the Principal? Shouldn't they both be suspended until full investigation has been done? They were both heard on the tape.

Also, this is the second time the Principal has told a teacher to do something he isn't supposed to be telling a teacher. Back in July 2013, the Principal was accused of telling teachers to pass failing students. How can this happen twice now, and no investigation has been done? It is really beginning to look like the corruption is at its best in UCPS, BOE, and Superintendent.

Wake up Union County residents, and start paying attention to the so-called "leaders" of education in this county.

Watch, Dr. Plue will be The Principal of the Year in 2015.....

Keep passing them Dr. Flue. If they haven't learned anything in 12 years they never will. Same do-gooders that think it's terrible are the same that bitch that the classrooms are full and their angel has to sit in a doublewide.

Let's be honest for a change. This is going to sound racist but so be it. I'm going to tell the truth. I witnessed it. I was a part of it and I still am.

There is a big gap between black and white students. Testing over the past 20-25 years shows that blacks are doing better but the gap isn't closing because white students are also doing better as a whole.

You can compare the end of year testing results between say, Forest Hills with a higher percentage of blacks with say, Weddington with a very low percentage and see a big difference. Monroe and Forest Hills have the highest percentage of black students in the county and the test results show both at the bottom academically.

Past principals at those two schools did everything they could to raise scores including "Letting" students who they knew would drag down the scores play hooky or (as former principal John Moore did, have a proctor read and "assist" several students). Monroe High had a "test preparation" class for at risk students. They practiced answering questions just like the real test.(the questions, it turned out, were remarkably similar to the real test)

You can't blame the principals of those two schools. They are pressured to raise scores. Mr Plue wants to help his students. Many of them work. When they miss assignments sometimes it's because they worked the night before. Giving them extra time is one way to get work completed.

Ricky is not the spotlessly clean teacher! He is an "ok" classroom teacher but a poor classroom manager. Personality wise he is kind of a sour grape kind of guy. He is a complainer and many students find his classes depressing because of his attitude. I know of two parents who requested and got teacher changes because their kids had conflict with him.

Plue is a joke. His school is a joke. So is the school board. I have witnessed it first hand. My daughter spent nine weeks at his school. Worst display of education I have ever witnessed. Her so called honors class could barely read or write and had to redo the first six weeks. I went to him and his entire staff, they put the blame of everything on me and my child. He told me he has a school on par with any private school in the state and the most respectable kids as well. How dare I question any practices at his school. And he has to pass as many kids as he can. Numbers are all that matters.

I think that the problem here is the Human Resources Department, or lack thereof. This is what happens when you have flunkies with zero qualifications running this department. Would any other company hire a former school Principal with a master's in Education to run their Human Resources department? Absolutely not, but hey works for UCPS. They could care less about board policies. They only use them to out the people they don't like, and the ones they protect can violate any policy they wish. His job is not to protect the employees it is to cover up, and cover up, and more covering up. Don't know how these people at the top sleep at night I really don't.

Sounds like it is time for and online sprig ram where kids can complete school work at their own pace. Who cares whether they finish at age 16 or 24? As long as they finish.
