Is anyone concerned about the potential takeover of our council by the PAC group Indian Trail Citizens For Progress? All they need is one more member for a majority vote. They are pushing hard for our own police department and 8.3 million town hall.

The citizens of Indian Trail need to watch out for this group. Unless they want their taxes to increase substantially. The tax dollars would be much better spent on parks, greenways, additional Deputies, an animal services officer(s) and code enforcement. Theses things would have an immediate impact on the town without causing a major increase in taxes. The current town hall buildings will suffice for a few more years. Although it has been more costly than originally planned whats done is done. Working with it is now the best choice. And why spend money on a Police Dept of our own? From the dealings I've had with the Sheriff's Office I am very satisfied. We just need more of them. This PAC is trying to turn Indian Trail into somethings it's not, the place they came here to get away from.
