What do you expect from such a twisted system. It's common knowledge that give unlimited authority abuse is a predetermined outcome.

Stanly County prosecutors must be forced to resign. How many more cases have they tainted and falsified testimony to gain a conviction? Force them to drop every case and reverse the convictions.

Well it certainly does call into question any of their prior convictions. These prosecutors should not only be forced to resign, they should lose their law licenses! This includes the elected District Attorney. An absolute miscarriage of justice!

I kinda got a sense of what was going on right here:

It looks like the disbarment of Mike Nifong did little to strike fear in the hearts of other NC prosecutors who might be tempted to take corruption.

This would be the website of the DA for Stanley County, which lies in the 20th Prosecutorial District of North Carolina:

My last comment is that whoever wrote the article for AC-T is a bit of a dullard, don't you think? I couldn't make heads or tails out of what happened.

Now I'm going to go and see what the Supreme Court of North Carolina said. Apparently the Justices took the prosecutor to the woodpile, as it appears they should have.

Here is the resounding decision,_State of NC vs. Theodore Jerry Williams,_ with comments such as a "flagrant violation of constitutional rights" and "irreparable prejudice" against the defendant by a clearly irritated North Carolina Supreme Court:

I wouldn't want to be that ADA, but then we've had several NC prosecutors who committed prosecutorial outrages here in NC, and they received mere slaps on the wrist. The newspapers did all the screaming, and the bar did zilch. Cases in point: Hoke and Graves outrage and Honeycutt & Brewer scandal. These four scoundrels went on to do well. Shades of Bob Lewis! One of them even became a judge. LOL.

Wow I read that and that was pretty bad, wonder if all cases are done that way and is the court system really fair?
