Union DA dismisses '96 Hoffman murder case
The Union County District Attorney today dismissed all charges against Jonathan Hoffman, a Charlotte man accused of murdering a local jeweler in 1995.
District Attorney John Snyder said he dropped the case due to 'insufficient admissible evidence.'
Hoffman is being held in Central Prison in Raleigh without bond. It was not immediately clear when he would be released.
The case against Hoffman stretches over 12 years and led to a civil and criminal investigation of two former prosecutors in Union County. Read more

Totally freakin' amazing! He did it. He is guilty and he is free. Our law enforcement officers must be so disgusted with our legal system.

Isnt the first time this has happened in uc they usaly lockup a alot of innocent people and let lose the guilty wonder how many people have been locked up on trumped up charges proly be scary to know wht goes round ,comes round
