My divorce decree states my ex husband can claim our daughter every other year and I am to sign an 8332 form. I don't believe i have signed this form yet. He has not worked in Three years and has her only every other weekend. I feel as a fulltime working mother I have the right to claim her until he at least gets a job. I think he only wants to claim her (knowing he won't get any money) because he is upset I get a bigger refund. What should I do? Will I be in contempt if i dont sign the form? Or if i claim her on "his year". He has $0 income, living off savings or his military pension and GI bill i believe. I would like to take this out of the divorce decree all together, although he wont agree to it I am sure. Thanks!

I live in one state but I also own property in another state. Is this going to be a
problem? Will I have to pay taxes to both states?

When a person is domiciled in one state but owns property in another state, this raises the possibility of ancillary probate. Ancillary probate means incurring additional time and expense in passing property in that other state to an heir. It may mean additional estate taxes. In some extreme cases when a person owns homes in more than one state, questions about domicile (the personís primary state) may arise and, in the worst case scenario, result in the estate being subject to death taxes in both states.

I'm divorced and in my decree it says I get my son Wednesday thru Sunday but I got a new job and we worked out between me and my ex I get him Friday thru Monday! I need help by my parents picking him up and taking him to daycare and keeping him some weekends when I'm working out of town! She says that my parents aren't going to keep him and I need to be the one to take him and pick him up if I can't make it in town then he needs to stay with her! Can she do that if I need help because I'm working on my weekends?

I'm divorced and in my divorce decree it states I get my son Wednesday Thursday and we alternate every other Friday Saturday Sunday. I got a new job so me and my ex worked it out between us I get him every other Friday thru Monday now. I work out of town and need help by my parents picking him up and taking him to daycare and maybe keeping him one weekend a month. But my ex said its not their responsibility to keep him and pick him up and take him so if I'm not in town he's not staying with them, he can stay with her! Can she do this if I need help with my son?

I was served a "rule to vacate or show cause" today for non payment of rent. In the letter it says "failure to vacate or respond within ten days may result in the issuance of writ or ejectment " does this mean in ten days they are gonna come in here and physically remove me my family and my stuff ?
