Does our sheriff really have the time and the manpower to devote to some trash on a beach. I think it would be nice to see a police car in Linton from time to time. That never happens. And what about 24 hr patrol that he spoke of. That's not happening either. 16 burglaries in one night??? Come on.

Before you speak, why don't you ask Ray about the patrols. I know for a FACT that deputies are there frequently, but I guess you sit out in the yard 24 hrs a day and watch for them. and 16 burgularies.....theives are going to go for the 16 unlocked cars and steal the things in plain sight. How about locking the car? These people are out there and will steal. Try to ask questions, intelligent ones....before you put down law enforcement.

First of all if ppl are all approaching cars to see if theyre not locked wheres the police or sheriff patrol to notice this suspicious activity? This whole towns outraged that 16 vehicles were broke into Whose on duty to protect the publics property while while the ones grabbing all the media attention posing relaxing beside of a tree in a newspaper thats where!
sure dont seem to have a clue bc they're too busy down at the beach taking pictures and calling the newspapers.
I believe the trash collectors are paid to clean up trash so not sure this is some priority?
or at times school groups , youth & volunteers and just anyone who is good enough to pick up after themselves and some of us even pick up after others bc its in us to do so..but to place the law "undercover"? Even post they have some sorta stakeout ??
while citizens would never dream they cant have their things unlocked in broad daylite while theyre at home! or least they mustve thot there's probably plenty of officers on patrol?
So you tell us ....24 hr patrol? was this the sheriffs Lack of patrol of the city anyone know? bc I think city was busy arresting a guy hiding out or whatever.
layoff the other post they made a lot more sense than you just did. Plenty of angry residents plenty! unreal!!I think those victims need to post on here. so sorry to hear youre being ripped off. Victims of crimes should Never be blamed for wrongs committed upon them. Diss on the criminals not these 16 victims okay?

I think its the Sheriff fault for the high gas prices. If he had been on 24 hour patrols he could have arrested the store clerks before they could raise the price of gas. The Sheriff is surely to blame for the ship that hit the bridge. If only he had been on 24 hour patrol this most certainly would not have happened. And the economy is most definately the Sheriffs fault. Had he been on 24 hour patrol the economy would be booming right now. Come on Sheriff we the people demand you quit posing and relaxing by a tree. Get Real deserves better OMG, SMH, LOL, ROTFL, SH.

the thing about it is...each time they have patrolled the beach, they are arrested someone, either for criminal littering,(you know syringes and crap), or for drugs and marijuana. Maybe it's not the crime you wanted solved, but it's a crime.
And, there is no need to "diss" on anyone. But, it is logical to ask that those 16 victims lock up their valuables, because people will steal when they have an opportunity. Take some responsibility for your own stuff, or don't gripe about it.

There have been several arrest & dope needles and even a meth lab found on the beach. People can't even set foot on their own property for the drunks & dopers. Trash is everywhere. Let them do their jobs. If this was in your back yard I'll bet ya'll would be screamin. There have been people shot at the beach. Camping has been shut down by the corps. It's past time for this. Ray is doing the best job this County has ever seen. There are many counties to choose where to live. Be happy in the one you choose.

Bubba sounds like to me you are a police officer that is jealous? From the news report there was a Shreiff Deputy on duty that night. Do you have any idea how big Trigg County is? I hear on the scanner that they are all over the county. Check all the facts before you start to slander, vote for Kenneth Butts he stayed at the office all day what kind of Sheriff would that be?

So if Godair and the dog warden are going to patrol the water, why have a k-9? if Godair is the k-9 officer, how can he be on the water? Will he take the k-9 with him in the boat like that guy from Swamp People? If the dog warden is in the boat, who is going to answer the animal calls? If they are both on the water, how can they provide assistance to other officers in the county? You cant send a boat out on the water with one officer. How can one officer board another boat? Is three litter tickets worth no one else patrolling the county? Is it worth having an officer answer a dangerous call in Cerulean by himself? And who will be left to drive the hummvee? Where is the money in this county and where is the boat patrolling? Linton has a beach too. I'm guessing the boat hasn't been there. No neighborhood watch there either. I guess the firemen can keep catching the crooks there. What happens to the kid who gets too many toys? Some toys get neglected. The floor gets cluttered and not cleaned up. It's sometimes better to narrow the focus and do that well instead of getting too big and things getting missed. Ask Cerulean and Roaring Springs how important having two deputies in a boat is to them.

Walker I am going to bury your innuendos and lies with actual facts.
YOU POSTED- So if Godair and the dog warden are going to patrol the water, why have a k-9? ANSWER- DRUGS
YOU POSTED- if Godair is the k-9 officer, how can he be on the water? ANSWER- GET IN THE BOAT TURN THE KEY ON AND PUSH THE THROTTLE FORWARD WALA HE WILL BE PATROLLING
YOU POSTED- If the dog warden is in the boat, who is going to answer the animal calls? ANSWER OTHER DEPUTIES DUH. WHO ANSWERS CALLS NOW WHEN HE IS OFF?
YOU POSTED- If they are both on the water, how can they provide assistance to other officers in the county? ANSWER OTHER DEPUTIES OR OFFICERS DUH. THE SAME AS WHEN THEY ARE BOTH OFF.
YOU POSTED- How can one officer board another boat? ANSWER REALLY? Ill type slow.-Pull up next to the boat to be boarded- put one foot in front of the other and step over to the boat to be boarded.
YOU POSTED- Is three litter tickets worth no one else patrolling the county? ANSWER FIRST WHEN WAS NO ONE ELSE PATROLLING THE COUNTY? SECOND THE NEWS SAID THERE WERE DRUGS AND BOMB ARRESTS MADE ALONG WITH THOSE LITTER TICKETS.
YOU POSTED- Is it worth having an officer answer a dangerous call in Cerulean by himself? ANSWER AS OPPOSED TO WHAT NOT ANSWERING THE CALL? WHAT HAPPENS AT NIGHT WHEN ONLY ONE OFFICER IS WORKING? I HEAR ON THE SCANNER ALL THE TIME WHERE ONE OFFICER GOES TO A CALL.
YOU POSTED- And who will be left to drive the hummvee? ANSWER DOES IT HAVE TO BE DRIVEN ALL THE TIME?
YOU POSTED- Where is the money in this county? ANSWER RAY SAID THE HUMMVEE WAS FREE AND THE BOAT WAS BOUGHT WITH DRUG MONEY. DO YOU UNDERSTAND FREE.
YOU POSTED- Linton has a beach too. ANSWER AGREED
YOU POSTED No neighborhood watch there either. ANSWER RAY HAD A NW MEETING AT THE FIREHOUSE IN LINTON? DIDN’T YOU GO?
YOU POSTED- I guess the firemen can keep catching the crooks there. ANSWER THE NEWS SAID THE CROOKS WERE CAUGHT BY POLICE IN TN.
YOU POSTED- Ask Cerulean and Roaring Springs how important having two deputies in a boat is to them. ANSWER I GUESS I THINK MORE HIGHLY OF THE PEOPLE IN CERULEAN AND ROARING SPRINGS THAN YOU DO. I THINK THOSE CITIZENS THINK CRIME ANYWHERE IN THE COUNTY IS IMPORTANT.
Walker what is your real problem with our Sheriff? Trigg County is surrounded by water and you don’t think the police need a boat? Really? I mean Really? Come on man get real.
The hummvee was FREE FREE FREE FREE FREE. Did I mention it was FREE?
Walker you have a personal issue with the Sheriff. Is there anything he could do that you would approve of?
