I think with all the tolerance we have of cultures and practices which are not native to the US, this zealous pursuit of someone practicing polygamy on our own soil seems rather askew to our alleged view of tolerance, even acceptance of diversity and all that it potentially encompasses...if we can tolerate East Indians or the Chinese and their lack of social equity/justice in their homeland, why can't we tolerate a polygamist whose done nothing but have multiple legal partners and children with them...inquiring minds wanna' know?

For goodness sake, if you want to practice polygamy and you are over the age of 18, then by all means do so, but DO NOT then turn to the government whose laws you choose to ignore to support your family with food stamps. But even more than that I don't care what religion you are, it does NOT give you the right to commit child rape, child abuse, or to promote illegal marriages of underage children. It is illegal in this country for ALL of us, and RFLDS should not be exempt from protecting their children,if they aren't going to do it in there communities and their homes, then yes, the government has a responsibility to. If even a handful of their community members take part in these activities, and they do nothing to stop it, then yes, the whole community should be held accountable. Please protect our children, also protect our country from having to financially support this behavior in any fashion. I am appalled that my tax dollars go to help provide food for families that choose this lifestyle that is illegal.
