Paul Lowe touched my heart in such a special way. We shared so many wonderful memories that his memory will remain with me forever. There are few people in the world that can make people feel as special as Paul did. I look forward to singing with him again in Heaven.

I was in the police academy with Paul and always thought extremely high of him. He always made me laugh and he always had a smile on his face, even when he was suffering from pain due to his previous health problems. When I was rushed to the hospital because I collapsed in class, he was one of the first ones in my room forcing me to stay because they thought I was having a heart attack, I was 26. He was a great comfort for me that night. He was a friend, a brother and a great guy. I will always remember his goofy laugh and his bird legs...lol.
Paul will be sorely missed! |

A friend of mine went to elementary school with Paul when he and his family lived in Paris. She told me about his passing. Was he ill?
|
||||
Yes and no. He had a major heart attack several years ago and had many small ones after that. I'm not sure, but I would venture to say that he had another major heart attack and died since he was at home when he passed. I could be wrong, though. |

Ok. Thank you. I will pass that along to my friend. |

1 I am truly sorry for your loss. There was not a person in our class that didn't like Paul...he sat behind me in class and always picked on me...I picked right back. I remember how much he complained and cried about being sprayed with pepper spray that early morning in May 2005...he wasn't the only man that couldn't bare the pain. I will always treasure those 7 months I spent with him in the academy. I wish I could have been at the memorial for Paul, but I prefer to remember people the way they were when they were alive. I hope you know how many people really loved your brother in life and we will continue to love him while he is in eternal paradise! My prayers are with you! |

Paul was the man in my life for 30 years; from the time he moved to Sulphur Springs. I think our times together kept him from marrying all those years.....*laughing*
He was so special to me and my son, Clay. They played the guitar often and laughed always. I miss him SO much and think of him every day. I can't wait to be with him in Heaven. I know the angels and laughing more because of him. I miss and love you Paul!!! |

I knew Paul since he moved to Paris. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved life in every way. Many of you may know, and his sister can confirm this, but one of Paul's greatest loves, other than his family, was a place of solitude and rest where his relationship with God grew the most---Camp Deer Run, a Christian camp just outside of Winnsboro. I visited camp last Saturday for the 50th anniversary. Over 500 former, current, future campers, counselors, directors and friends gathered. Paul's memory will be remembered in a very special way this summer at camp. If you would like to have a special way to help with that memorial, you can contact Camp Deer Run, Don Neal, Director @ campdeerrun@peoplescom.net or you can log on to
http://www.campdeerrun.com/supportus.htm and can leave an online gift. Take a deep breath. Smile. I can see Paul smiling back...and knowing for a time, he made a difference for you and me. |

I didn't know this man, but I can see he was a good human being. He is truly blessed by all of you. He has left behind all this love and kindness. In the end, all we have is the love we share with others. It's wonderful that we can use this avenue to speak of kindness towards others. A place where we can reflect about those who have impacted each of our lives. Thank you for allowing me to step into your world and see the softer side of life.

I met Paul a couple of years ago and he stole my heart from the beginning. When he died a part of me died and went with him. The comments written about him are so true and I am truly blessed to have known him. The song by country singer Keith Anderson, "I Still Miss You", sums up the feelings I still have for him today and for the years to come.

Didn't know him, but he must have been a very nice person. My sympathy to all his loved ones.

I went to school with Paul in Sulphur Springs. He was a year ahead of me.
He was truly a person that cared about other people. A lot of folks go through life "talking" about caring for people--Paul genuinely cared. He was someone that never met a stranger and could relate to anyone. Good natured to the core, a southern gentleman. "The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long." Paul's light burned so very bright! |

I watched Paul take a poor mentally-challenged man to lunch from church one time.
He'd know everyone in a restaurant by the time dinner was over. I went to a ball game with him and he spent most of his time talking to the guy next to him. By half time I asked if he knew that guy. He said, "No, why?" Paul never met a stranger and had a heart of gold. |

Paul was like a brother to me and to others. I look at his pictures everyday to remind me of all the laughs. He was truly a caring and selfless person. We miss him greatly and remember the good times of his life.

I went to College with Paul and I had no idea he had passed, but he was my friend and we had lot of good days in College doing nothing wrong, but simply being friends and visiting and cutting up with the people we came into contact with, we were told once by a professor we had to sit in a group because we were campbelite/republicans
which both he and I were fine with God Bless |

Paul was my boyfriend at East Paris Elementary, then he moved. Later in high school I saw him at a marching band contest and asked what school that was and someone told me Sulphur Springs. Did he never marry? Children? My mother was the one to tell me of his death. She had seen his obituary in the Paris News and asked me if I remembered him from school. There are so many wonderful touching stories on here about him. He was loved by all.
