By Oct. 24? Is that this year or next?

I just wonder, if we can't afford to pay our tax bill this year, is the federal government going to pass legislation to bail us out?

Yes, Eric I think the gov't should bail us out. The tax payers have to pay the interest now? What is that? There have been too many years of our property taxes being sent out late. How about we do away with property tax and tax the stuff we don't need to survive? Also, let's do an overhaul on our governement. They are getting too good at blaming everything on computers.
When property values drop dramatically with the mess the country is in are we going to go through all of this again? Are we going to get a rebate check when we sell a house for $90K instead or $350K?

Property taxes should be frozen at the time of sale and based on the selling price. It should not change unless the property is modified/improved.
