if you're traveling from the South, you don't want to take 65 south??? What road is Exit 38? Is that SR 28?

Clearly he wants 65 North. Shoot, I'd take 52 just after Lebanon, take the scenic drive (look out for the County Mountie at the Dairy Queen), drive through Lafayette, and then turn right at SR. 26. That'll take you to I-65 to Chicago.

One thing, watch out for RR crossing just before you get to Lafayette.

Or better yet since you have over 13 hours of advanced notice how about planning to either get there before 10 am or after let's say 11 am.
