What was all the talk about not needing a box if you were already on cable??
Seems like just another way for Comcast to rip their customers off.

What a joke once again the cable company is finding a way to charge even more. The economy is sinking but lets make subscribers pay even more.
I for one will not getthe boxes for any of my television sets. I will just stay with what I have now and decide if i want to go back to Dish and verizon.

What's next, is Bob Rhorman going to start charging extra for windshields and tires when you buy a new car? Is Payless going to start charging you for each little plastic bag you need? Or is Wal-Mart going to start charging a rental fee on their carts? When is enough, enough Comcast? It's bad enough you charge me for channels I can't understand (latin) and others that I have no use for. Now you're going to have a "per tv" charge also? I miss Insight. At least they never screwed us like Comcast does.

Comcast is only beginning to snake you out of EXTRA charges and services. There's more to follow in the coming year. Less channels and more charges are in your future. Take it from an Ex-employee! You will soon be charged for channels seperately in a "combined" package! Imagine, paying seperately for each channel you actually watch! This IS what's coming next year. Dump Comcast and go satellite which gives you MUCH more for a lot less!

That's only for renting the box but if I'm not mistaken there is also a per outlet charge for each digital box connected to an outlet. Anyway you look at it Comcast is ripping us off. It really is time to look into satellite and DSL.

They also did not tell you folks at the interview,
they have no boxes available and were unable to tell me when they will be!

Things like this happen when there is no competition in consumer delivery in cable television. If you really want to be effective in your complaining tell state and local officials to change laws to allow for more competition in cable television. Competition has a wonderful impact when it comes to pricing and service quality. We can choose which Internet service provider we use, which grocery we shop at, and have a choice in other products and services we wish to have. That same principle should apply to cable television.

For $600 you can put up a digital antenna at your house that gets channels from Indianapolis for free. Right now I pay Comcast $200/year for basic and only get 10 real channels. If I put up my own antenna and cost it out over 10 years, I get 5 channels for $60/year. I'm dropping Comcast tomorrow.

I don't know what is happening where you live, but here in Logansport, we keep loosing channels, but there is no decrease in price. Now, come on, folks, less, but same price? That doesn't seem right.

Does anyone know when we will get some competition to Comcast in our area. I am sick and tired of being abused by the terrible, clueless, customer service reps at Comcast. I have heard that other services will be available in Tippe. Co. early next year, if not sooner. Just looking for a heads up on what I can look forward to. It canít possibly be any worse than Comcast. I'm not talking about Dish/Direct, been there done that and opted for Comcast over that mess!

dish isnt any better, they just raised rates another 3 bucks and they charge you out the nose for HD. I called in to cancell they gave me 2 months free and said my bill would be 49 til the end of 2009. I have had to call 3 times to get it fixed. Luckily I was smart enough to get the persons name and 3 digit code.
