Family stunned by deputy shooting dog in front yard

You know, my kid thinks all the cops are bad because an officer came and shot his dog. Honestly when I think about it I get mad too and I don't trust that officer anymore. An Idaho family is thankful its dog is alive this holiday, after a Teton County sheriff's deputy shot the animal three times in its front yard. via World Net Daily

I feel sorry for the kids the most, I certainly hope the Sheriff's department takes extreme action in correcting this.

I don't understand the family leaving the dog lying there for a couple of days before medical attention was sought. What's the story there?

The story talks about how the guys kid saw the cop shoot the dog and how hard it was for all of them, then why the hell did they leave the supposedly dead dog in their yard for 3 days. Thats sick!!!

Yeah, saw that on the news. Is it true? If so, how can they be so upset and concerned about their dog if they don't pay any attention to it after the fact for 3 day?. So if the father had a panic attack after seeing it happen and had to go to the hospital, why didn't they check on the dog then? Whole story sounds too fishy. Sounds like a few trashy citizens feeling entitled to county money for their own stupidity and lack of control over their dog. Will make an interesting jury trial.

Granted, the deputy may have jumped the gun too but enough details are still unclear. Still doesn't make up for the fact the "victims" ignored their dog for so long.

Another brilliant waste of our tax dollars when this goes to court.
