Merck Pharmaceuticals (formerly Schering-Plough) has laid off a significant number of employees from the Lafayette site, which has been slated for closure later this year. This comes after a recent announcement to close all Organon facilities, which were aquired by Schering-Plough Pharmaceuticals just a few years ago.
