Children are regularly included among the viewers at these sadistic spectacles. They see the animals being torn apart and participate in the observation of the pain and suffering of the loser. Even seasoned law-enforcement agents are consistently appalled by the atrocities that they encounter at dogfighting venues and report becoming physically ill during busts.

When I was a child i had to be sedated over Old Yeller. I can't imagine a young child seeing it. What's worse I can't imagine adults who tell their children animals feelings don't matter. Did they ever LOOK AT A CHILD'S FACE when you tell them their favorite pet went to heaven. Do you know what they think when they know pets went to the likes of Vick and co.?

Do you allow your kids to watch scary movies? Do you tell your kids about child abductions? Do you beat up your wife/husband in front of your kids? If not, why would you tell your kid that Mike Vick fought and killed dogs.

I don't get the public these days. They want everyone to be perfect without learning what it means to be perfect. The founding fathers even knew that our Union wasn't perfect. They were looking for a "more perfect Union".

I thinh this is about taking the kids to see the dogfights, not warning the kids about them, isn't it?

Believe it or not...Mike Vick is in prison now for breaking the law. Now what more is there to be said? How many more times can we stand to hear that he killed defenseless animals without becoming unsymphathetic. It's overkill. It's why we're not repulsed by murder anymore.

What males you think we are not repulsed by murder?

Vick will get sympathy when he has shown behavioral change. Not when he SAYS he has changed. He's said that, before.

I also find it disgusting that children are being involved in the act of animal abuse. I've read articles that when a dog fight was busted they actually found child size chairs right along with milk and cookies. One child said he was brought by his uncle and was repulsed that everyone laughed when the loser/dying dog urinated on itself. This is not the example our kids need.

Well obviously if you are the type of person who would attend or actually participate in something as vile as dogfighting you are not going to have the education or ability to reason that exposing a child to wanton violence will desensitize that child to violence.

Or, if on the other hand, you were aware of the studies that show exposing to children to this type of violence simply desensitizes them to it well then you more than likely don't care or are incapable of demonstrating the compassion that would preclude you from taking a child to such an event.

At least she's beginning to grasp what desensitization means.

iT'S BEYOND DISGUSTING. God only knows what I would like to do to those people. It's disgusting too that these Vick supporters teach their children that people conspired to get him because he was a black QB???and downplay his actions. Thanks for being here.
