Facing challenges at Sumter Regional

I've learned a lot of lessons in the 16 months since a tornado destroyed Sumter Regional Hospital and put us all on this hard road to recovery and rebuilding.

The hospital is a thing of the past. We might as well get use to it. They are losing a million dollars a month. The guy incharge see's the writing on the wall he has ask the board for a rasie and a better severance package. Go figure, Then you have the hospital in albany wanting to take it over. That would be a good thing for the avarage person here. Only trouble is no one here would have a say in it. A better thing. I encourage the local people to help albany get control. That really won't effect local doctors here they might holler a little, But that is just a show. Maybe after albany takes over you won't get shipped off to die.Maybe A little audit from the feds on the money flow their would help. Lets face somebody is running scared having the meetings in different places. Well good luck to the citizens of sumter county. God knows you will need it in the comming months. or years. After all you have a fine new court house. As sonn as figure out who left out the bricks and lord knows what else. The tax payers will be paying for that as well. Then the school board will hit you up again. The citizens sooner or later will have to have elections on everything. Powers that be will tell you that is not how it is. But guess what it can be.Now lets if this will get printed.

I totally agree with you on the hospital here in Sumter County, the head huncho makes over $200.000.00a year, something is wrong here, where is all the money that has been donated to start rebuilding???? has all the donated money gone to his SALARY????? and at the hospital, if a person (last name not smith or williams) or jones, if a person is 1 day late with a payment set up with the hospital, the citizens get sent to court for not paying... now, all the money the tax dollars from this county is raising, do we as the citizens get a break at the hospital???? hell, I would just settle for a little southern hospitality form the nurses at Sumter Regional. just to be even noticed that I am there would go along way. or just a little, hello, I will be right with you, would be fine also. most of the nurses really need a new attitude and a new face, because the face they have now is watching the knife in your back.sorry so grafic but this is the truth and many citizens know it and the nurses know it.so how much money do they need to keep up the with Albany???? we need Albany,,, we need new people here, we need new heads here, most of the citizens here want Albany to come and take over the hospital,

Albany/Phoebe just need to start over with all the personnel, starting with the personnel dept,if the girl in the personnel dept does not know you and you apply for a JOB, guess what??? you will not get called for an interview.emergency dept. nurses there, if they know you and if they do not like you, guess what??? you will wait to be seen for over 3 hours, they will ignore you, so lets see...... YES i agree, we need new people here in Americus. Sumter hospital, you better pay attention and stand up and be professional, because eyes are on you....

OK NOW, this is what i call coming to the rescue, PHOEBE yes, thank heavens, come and take over, I just hope the girl in the HR dept and half of the ER nurses got the big AX.... ha ha ha, now you tell me people that hate people, how does it feel????? How in the lll do you feel???? now that the same has happened to you. you tell me....maybe this will tell you, you better be nice to people. didn't your parents ever tell "what goes around, comes around"???? did you not learn how to treat people when you were in nursing school??? oh, that's right, you did not go to NURSING SCHOOL, one nurse at Sumter got her lisence from the INTERNET NURSING SCHOOL. PAY HERE, GET HERE.NEED i SAY MORE???????

ok, here we go, this has been wonderfull news for us in Americus, Ga. now who was it to loose their jobs? the girl in the HR dept? we all hope. we can not get anywhere with her...a brown headed girl in the ER dept. definately needs to go, she has received her RN from the the internet, this would scare me. she will tell you this also. she had it made in the ER. she is nice in a devilish way.

this is a prejudiced thing to do... but we are talking about sumter employees.we are used to it.

Oh Please, my experience at Phoebe was TERRIBLE. I would rather be admitted into Sumter Regional any day. The staff of Phoebe is terrible. The nurses had nasty attitudes, and the environmnet was not inviting. If Phoebe takes over Sumter Regional, not only would money be an issue, but also sanitation. If a person dies in the hospital or during the transporting process, they are called by God. Man has no control.

But let's not take it anymore, we pay for health care just like the Jone's and the Shivers, or whom ever are treated first at the Sumter Regional, I pay just like anyone esle, so why am I treated different at the hospital??????? Teh employees got what they deserved. laidoff...look how they treated the laidoff folks from Cooper and Davidsons....

Now that was the stupidest thing I have heard, the man as you put it, is a employee....it jst depends.....who you are, who your family is,,,, everyone knows it. ALL CITIZENS HAVE A RIGHT TO BE TREATED THE SAME, WITH RESPECT AND KINDNESS, after all if it was not for the little people MAN would not have JOB...

WEll, well,, well, it is about time, I do hate to hear in this day that anyone to losr their jobs, I can be honsest, I am do not feel for theses people, is was coming. Phoebe knows what they are doing. Shoulda not have been RUDE as llll to the Sumter Citizens.

Sumter was just as bad, the old saying, is"you go in but you don't come out".....now, if a person in the hospital dies at Sumter, I am sorry, I disagree. The word is in Sumter, the docs, nurses did not take care of you.Where did all the money go to from DONATIONS????
