Why the anger at Dr. J? You sound like a jealous idiot! The facts are a senior staff member is mishandling and continues to mishandle funds. He treats the church treasury like a personal check book.

It pains me so much to see those who claim to be children of the almighty God attacking each other with such apparent glee. I am not taking sides in this fight that is being waged here other than to say that regardless of your feelings toward SBC or its former pastor, each one of you that is making these allegations on here is clearly violating the Scriptures. I'm fairly certain from my studies of Scripture that waging this war on a blog site is not exactly what Jesus had in mind when He challenged us in Matthew 15 or 5:22-25.

If you truly call yourself a Christian you will stop these assaults on each other and on the churches involved. Not one of us could pick up the stone to throw at another since not one of us is without our own sin. Can you honestly say that these attacks are beneficial to the body of Christ? Only if you have deceived yourself!

The two parties separated from each other a year ago, let it alone now. Regardless of who you think at fault or who is the spawn of satan, why don't you try and preach the gospel with boldness and be the witnesses we are called to be in Acts 1:8? Stop this imitation of the world's tactics and focus on being true disciples of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

In case you were wondering, yes, I am a member at 2nd but came toward the end of last year so I really don't have a history of the past there. But I've been a believer long enough and seen enough of the Church shooting its wounded to know that it is wrong and anyone doing it needs to fall before God and confess immediately! Do you really think that God will honor the service of those who attack with such viciousness and glee?

Some advice -- give up trying to reason with the people posting the ugliness here. They are not interested in advancing the cause of Christ. They are (knowingly or not) tools of the enemy whose only interest is in preventing the lost from being saved. Sadly, I have come to the conclusion it is those claiming to be Christians who pose the greatest threat to the church. They do more damage to the Body of Christ than anyone else. Rest assured, God remains on His throne; He will turn all things to His glory; and those who seek to do harm to His Bride will face their day of reckoning.

Jimmy was hired for protection. Everyone that isn't blinded can see that he was hired because he's Sonny's son, and with that comes connections, power and protection. Kudos to you M&N, Mort and Nash, for that excellent strategic move. Touché. I wonder how many know that one individual is on the board at the bank SBC does business with? Where's the extra million that was borrowed? Suppose to of been 2.5 million and 3.5 million was borrowed? Very interesting indeed. Could it have been hush money? Buying the silence of the victims of the molestation cover up? Oh if only the walls could talk, what transgressions they would speak of.........

The inner sanctum of power was established by Rastus prior to his passing. The 'Big 3' were given the ability to rule and govern as they saw fit. 'Preacher' was the final authority, possessing the ability to veto any of their motions. Any checks and balances the Big 3 had placed on them were instantly lifted with Rastus' passing. Now possessing total control of SBC with no one to stop them the Big 3 began exerting their iron fisted grip on every aspect of operations. The mighty coffers of SBC having their main attention. This is where the issue of no budgets, external audits, church body not being allowed to vote on major financial issues, etc. was spawned. Drunk on power as they say. LaBorg was going to change all that. The Big 3 felt the cold winds of change being to blow and had to act quickly to preserve their dominance. The rest is hi$tory........

The Big 3 are the 3 at the top of SBC. Just ask yourself who are the 3 men at SBC that are in control of everything? Day to day operations?'Finances'? Format? Placing people in positions? It should be so very easy to arrive at the answer. If you are a longer tenured member of SBC then you should know automatically. If by chance you are a newer member the first 2 should be automatic, the 3rd you may have to think, do research and/or simply ask around. Here's a hint.....they may hold an official title somewhere within the realm of finance. But I warn you, be careful who and what you ask for the friendly, open, cheerfulness of SBC is only a facade, masking a dark secret having been covered for years......

So many wolves clothed as sheep here...have you forgotten our Lord's admonition to not quarrel among ourselves? There is no glorification of God here, only the whisperings of snakes and vipers. You hide behind an anonymous moniker and level accusations at other men yet show no proof, only arrows and barbs yet you expect to be rewarded in the next life for this? Show me one Scripture that condones these attacks...one word from our Lord's mouth that justifies your hatred for 2nd and justifies the attacks. If what you say has any truth to it, let the Lord take care of those offenders and you concern yourself with living a godly life. Something about a sliver and a plank comes to mind here. I hope non-believers who may read your words can understand that what you are doing is not Biblical in the slightest and not condoned in God's word. You are false prophets and teachers and should repent of your evil intent.

This has nothing to do with defending anyone, it is all about your evil intent and words. You should be ashamed of your behavior on these pages. What have you done for the Kingdom of God to build it up? All you do here is the work of your father the devil by trying to destroy the Church body (and no, I am not talking just about 2nd but the corporate church as a whole).

Heart of Sorrow -- let it go. These people have no love for God; they are tools of the enemy and your words will roll off their backs like water off a duck. Jesus told us we (His children) would be known by our love for one another. These people show hate for other members of the Body of Christ, not love. Their own words show them for the lost that they are. Pray for them, but don't waste your time trying to talk to them. And pray for Jeff LaBorg who has done absolutely nothing to stop his supporters from supporting the enemy's attack on the Body.

I told someone in Dec. of 2010 when Pastor Jeff was publicly "crucified" that the motive behind the whole fiasco was political. A major political figure was returning to his church home where his longtime family friend, GM, was a major player. There was a move to get rid of Laborg for this reason. It took less than a year to play out and for one of the major motives to prove itself. Sad that they had to attempt to "ruin" a man of God in the process. But a blessing that the man of God was protected and has prospered in his ministry.

And you still don't think Jeff Laborg is behind this? Go read the self aggrandizing website he set up after he destroyed CHBC. It's called Encouraging the Pastors.
