They won't get the law Nullified......and if they should win.....there will be appeals and it still won't invalidate the legal marriages of those Same-Sex Couples.....just more whining from the hateful bigots!!!

So the result would be no behind closed doors lobbying by or of elected officials ever again?(As if....)

Hmmmm, that might not be a totally bad result.

Excellent. A very wise and fair judge. A rarity in today's liberal milieu. Perhaps this travesty will be overturned very soon. Let's all hope that this is the case.

For once the people screw the lobbyists is stead of the lobbyists screwing the people.
though I think new yorkers might see a prop 8 situation but I really don't think it would share the same results or even get pass the partitioning stages

New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms (ie. religious right wing christian group formed solely for the purpose of injecting the bible into legislation) earns the Hazel Massery award of the day.

Way to hold up civil advancement. They must be so proud.

You mean the way YOU overturn and let strangers shove anything handy into you? I heard that KATHERINE used to have a boy friend. He took off when he realized that instead of giving her anal sex,he was actually giving her ORAL sex, but he couldn't tell the difference.

Go take a leap, whore. Nice to see you are back to this fake name again. How's the rest of the day's personalities shaping up for you?

Calm down, that vile poster's name is KATHERINE like mine is. It uses dozens of psuedonyms on here, all dripping in hate. No one knows what sex It is or cares, It is below contempt.

Read it again take note of the last sentence!

"There's no reason to pass these bills without public scrutiny," he added. "It's not just the issue of same-sex marriage. Potentially, this looks at the integrity of the legislative process. We were lobbyists and felt we were wronged by the process and procedure."

I think the first time around an attempt was made to get it on the ballet when David Patterson was in office but failed due to lack of public support, I think this is why there not seeing nom getting evolved,
Not because I'm originally from NY but, New Yorkers seem to have a different logic than most of the country! my opinion at least

You said: "I think new yorkers might see a prop 8 situation". That's impossible as New York has no voter-iniative process as California does. It's not possible, nor is it in any way a similar situation.

As I said, you have no idea what you're talking about.

Well, seeing how the New York Constitution, adopted in 1777, has only 234 years of history behind it, and has NEVER had any such proviosn in all those years, it's understandable that since you haven't been in New York the past 28 years, you wouldn't know that.....
