Father in Long Island 'lynch mob' trial sentenced

Convicted of second degree manslaughter John White, 54, has been sentenced to 2 to 4 years in prison for the fatal shooting of a drunken White teenager.

God would be so proud that he shot a young boy him and his son walked away one with a handgun one with a shot gun.They left the other boys to pick up their friend who was shot in the face bleeding,dying put him in their car. Then these boys had to call 911,call Dano's father and try to get to the hospital to save their friends life. They were scared and trying to drive hoping not to get in an accident yet get there to save Dano. Remember Mr. White says accident..yet he never called 911 an ambulance or tried to help, he turned around and walked inside. dano was left to die in the STREET . You should think about the loud mouith kids 16,17 yr.olds you know perhaps a relative or child would you be saying May God shine on the one who killed your relative or friend or child?

your 20 mins theory is completely irrellevant. Call the cops for what? To report that Aaron White got a threatening phone call? Suppose the call was made. How high would a phone call be on the cops priority list? DO you live in a rural town? even in an emergency the cops arent exactly prompt.

How many minutes was it from the time the cars pulled up to the house to the time the shooting took place? THATS the timeframe were talking about.

So the whites lock there doors and the teens terrorize there house and property and scram before the cops come. Then all there friends cover for them saying they never left the party.
Mr white acted 100% within his constitutional right. He left his home armed, not knowing if the lynch mob was also armed. He got a look at the criminals, so he could id them in a lineup if they did anything. He instructed them to leave.
Dano chose to go for the gun.

Im not seeing how Mr White was wrong here. You have a RIGHT to protect yourself. Mabey you would hiding under your bed in the fetal position while a group of thugs terrorize your family, but that because your a coward.

This story is very sad for everyone involved. Dano was killed...unfortunate loss for his family!
Mr.White Sr. an upstanding citizen, a christian man was driven to the point of fear and frenzy.
Mrs. White probably thought her husband would go outside with their son and calm things down...and the their son is probably scared to death, has lost ALL of his so-called friends, and is worried to death about his father's fate. The 15 year old minor girl that started this whole mess should probably have been home in bed NOT AT A PARTY!

Ok, I will try hard to explain to you good folks out there in L.A. The girl has got nothing to do with what Mr. White did, Also how does one go outside to " calm things down" with 2 loaded weapons!! Put a loaded, cocked pistol 3 inches from a kids face. Yea that is a good way to calm things down. Look, I'll put it to you bluntly if you were to cross my path i'd do more then just stand up for myself! You don't know me and you should be glad you don't I have been a gunowner all my life and Yes I have been under fire so I have no need to prove myself to fools like you! I was once in a fight with about 30 17 and 18 year olds on the 4 th of July with only about 10 of us 40 somethings about 10 years ago and you know what nothing but a few bumps and bruises and no deaths!
