Overpaid, High Ego, no guts, wussie little fags who hide behind their badges and use it as a way of getting by. I'm a good citizen with a perfect record and I still got harassed by the Suffolk pigs. While driving home one night an officer didn't block the scene of an accident near the Suffolk Diner. What looked like a checkpoint was supposedly a blockade. Once my car got perpendicular to the cop car, some idiot in a yellow poncho; apparently a pig mad at his late night shift started cursing saying I was about to run him over and threatening to kill me. Then the idiot in the cop car, a young male with a go-ti seeming like he's just out of high school got out of his car and started to make fun of me and call me an idiot and all these things that a "professional" should't do. I backed out of the area and hit a piece of the accident.. apparently the fag in blue didn't care and I got out without a ticket. Since then I really don't take the Suffolk police seriously nor should they be considered as heroes. Just a bunch of uneducated dropouts who wish to be in authority and to take advantage of the pension plan they very much don't deserve; NYC cops deserve that income and notoriety. Hopefully there are Suffolk cops who are not like this but chances are people of that caliber go into the NYC police force, not the higher paid mall security known as the suffolk police.

Sorry that you had a bad experience, Charles. Maybe some day you'll graduate high school, take the Suffolk test ... pass ... and provide the much needed educational background that the overpaid "mall security" force needs. I'm sure they could all benefit from your years of police experience, your maturity, AND your linguistic flair. KEEP being a good citizen and don't let the actions of one cop,(who was probably mad at the messy accident some drunk created, not his late night shift), sour your opinion of cops in general.

P.S.
Incidentally ... in case it's a question on the test ... it's spelled "goatee."

i love reading about children acting like idiots getting mad because they don;t feel their actions should be challenged.

maybe if you guys didn't act inappropriately the cops wouldn't stop you.

tinted windows, loud mufflers, driving weird, being rude when you talk to a cop?

god you people are fuckwits.

I was a witness to police kicking in the wrong door at a home here in Great River. The house and street were completely wrong. As good citizens, we heard only police yelling profanities at the 82 year old widow's home. When we tried to say there were no adult men at that house, they told us to get 'the F... back in your own house and mind your' f....ing business or we'll lock you the f---up! I had my cell phone recording by then and my other son came out with a camera. We were on our own property when the police started threatening that they would break our necks ( I am a nurse and have been for 25 years)!! I could not believe what I was hearing. We tried to tell them they had the wrong house. The old woman came to the door and they manhandled her out of the way to check out the premises. There was no apology, not to the old lady, nothing. And this is what we pay high salaries to these animals for!

I promise, my life is much better since I no longer call them or will ever call them. They are not there to help. I cant imagine any scene where they would make an improvement.

My advice to anyone who needs to call the police in a real life or death emergency is to find your closest neighbors who are NYPD officers (aka REAL cops). They would be a much greater help in a time of real importance. Hell, if you have a house fire or another non-human threat, SCPD is going to do nothing but wait outside, set up flares and wait for the volunteer firefighers to come anyway.
But what do you expect from a force that requires NO education other than a high school diploma, flaunts its ridiculously high salary as a way of attracting every idiot who is only in it for the money from here to Florida to take the test and then treats the general public like they are all criminals and scumbags. Most of these SCPD cops need to thank their lucky stars they were hired by the SCPD because they probably would have ended up janitors at a local high school or Arrow security guards if not for the SCPD.
And before somebody states that some suffolk cops WERE city cops, sure. That's true. And Some suffolk cops ARE genuinely good cops. Unfortunately that seems to be the exception, and the higher ups and supervisors don't seem to want to change or care about the me-against-everyone, treat the whole world like fugitives attitude that most SCPD officers have. They need to remember they are hear to HELP the neighborhood...not play god over it.

Truth,
On any given SCPD test, only 10% of those that took the exam actually become Suffolk cops. It is LITERALLY easier to get into Harvard.
Though no college is required, many SCPD are college grads or higher, or have prior military or law enforcement experience.
And why is it that so many "real" cops from NYPD come to SCPD, including many who are already Sgt's or Lt's in the city?
You rant and rave but give no specific examples for the claims you are making.

Actually the number of SCPD test applicants that actually get the job is lower than 2%(less than 300 people were hired off the 2003 and 2007 exam which had over 50,000 pay $100 a piece to take the exam)

suffolk county police are overpaid, egotistical men with "little man syndrome"in the case with most of the women cops, they are dykes. most of them are on such ego trips and swagger about town as if their "*hit doesn't smell." i have absolutely no use for them.

the other day i was smoking marijuana after work..... i was in a private area... I barley smoke and yes i know it is illegal, but my opinion on it cant chnage the law. My point is I was out of my car smoking a cigarette when two officers in a unmark car told me to stay right there.. and without my permissions searched me and my car. I received a tick for criminal possession of marijuana even tho i only had no more thn a gram on me...... Before this i was constantly being watched and harassed by cops everywhere i went... they sit outside my job, house, girl friends house. i m not involved in anything bad.... besides smoking occasionally. i am talking about once every two months. My rights were totally violated, and now they seem to like me lot and follow me everywhere. I am a good kid and now on top of paying for my own college eduction i have to pay a lawer.. even though i have no money to fight this charge, because the correct procedure was not followed at all. People may say good you deserve it.. but honestly i dont deserve to be followed and harassed everywhere i go and be treated like the top drug dealer in my town. I know how corrupt our courts are... just look at all the cases... and of course we know if a Judges son is involved in a crime it magically dissapears. What happened to this country... what happened to all our freedoms.. they are taken from us by power hungry authority figures. When you were a kid seeing a cop was suppose to be a compfartble feeling... thinking that you were safe... now must of us probably get the chills every-time we see a officer.. is that the way it should be. Its funny when someone is breaking into a hse it takes a cop at least an hour to get there, but when a kid decides to smoke a joint.. the cops are right there in a matter of seconds... not to mention suffolk cops confiscate weed for themselves.. i know this for a fact. Our founding fathers would be blown away if they took a look at what law enforcement and the judicial system has come to... kinda sad... I use to want to join the armed forces when i was little cause i thought this country was great.. but now i have no desire what so ever to fight for a country that wont fight for us.. or even protect or freedoms.

I don't think it's fair to lump all SCPD into one basket but I have encountered a few callous officers in the past. Some of Suffolks County's Police Officers should really show a little more respect for the public and not treat people like they're Perps or Liberals antagonists. I was in Law Enforcement for 25 years and I've never spoke to the John Q Public the way I see some SCPD officers address concerned citizens.
