You are right, nobody was there with him. They were home with him. I just hope that the jury doesn't count his witnesses as overly biased and think they are liars and covering anything. I do want to say that I am dissapointed in how the defense handled this case. There was a lot more evidence and testimony that should have come out that would have gone a long long way to exhonorating him. Even his wife could verify that he wasn't wearing nor did he own any clothing even simular to what the victim described the attacker was wearing.

Really? I just see a group of nosey meddling attention scavengers roaming the street, namely a very small pathetic sampling of the FL population. You know what is sad is that you screw with people's lives and then leave innocents in the aftermath. I don't think she really undrstands who the dangerous people in this world really are. Perhaps the ones that she calls friends?
And by the way (and you know who I am addressing here)... distributing legal advice with authority WITH BEING A LAWYER IS ILLEGAL moron... perhaps another "tip" should be called in.

The innocent here are his wife, son and wonderful family. Everybody has a side that others may not know, or only glimpse at and dismiss because they are charming and skilled at hiding what they don't want others to see. He has other victims if not of a simlar crimes (but possibly) than of his lies, deceit, omissions and manipulations. There are two sides to him.

Why are you threatening people, that can't look good to the world?

Who is distributing legal advice?

If I were a member of his family, I would be questioning how and why I managed to be part of a group that created a manipulating self-serving liar. I would be wondering how I could be so close to a sociopath who doesn't care who he hurts, whether it be his own family or a defenseless 15 year old girl.

If I were a member of his family, I would be ashamed to share his name, rather than try and cover up for him. Shame on you.

Well, if he is as innocent as he claims to be, he can always appeal. But I doubt that would change anything.

I don't feel inclined to start mentioning people by name, even though you so pointedly asked.

And there is no threat, some might think as someone so relieved to see justice you would want someone doing something wrong reported. That's all.

Just curious... if you saw a house being robbed would you only call the police if the house belong to a friend of yours or would you extend the same courtesy to a stranger?

You know what..nevermind.. so many people have been hurt by what all has happened for alot of different reasons. It is just a horrible event for everyone no matter how you look at it.

Okay Darren. Enjoy your time out while you can, and continue to blame everyone but yourself. That is precisely why you are in this mess. If the web of lies you have constructed comforts you in your last days of freedom, I won't try to continue to shatter it. Good luck in prison. You're going to need it.

Hey Annoyed, why don't you just stop being nebulous and come out with it? You're pissed that someone close to B realized that Darren's story didn't match up and brought it to light.

Darren is not out to post these latest comments. Once you get a guilty verdict, thats it. Go straight to jail, do not pass go, do not collect $200.

The comments are most likely from his brother and/or brothers wife in Alabama. Nice try blocking your IP on the first couple, but you slipped up on one which gave away your identity.

I find it lovely how I get accused of posting a few of those comments and i'm one of the few who is actually showing my identity.

His wife could, in fact, verify that what he was wearing was that of which the victim claimed him to be wearing. His wife could also verify that at SOME point he left the house. He. left. the. house.
What most damning evidence? HIS thumb print on the blade of the knife. What explains that? You cannot answer me.

Forget past lies. Forget past deceit. The saddest part of this all is that a teenage girl is forever mentally scarred. A son will never know his father. And the rest of the family is hurting!

Let's stop the attacking and pray for those who are hurting and need healing.

First of all, he was put away due to pure speculation. His thumb print was on the knife because it WAS his knife! They acquired the knife later when he was initially arrested/before it went to trial. I am sure we all know individuals that carry pocket knives on them at all times. They took pictures of the crime scene and their findings; however, a picture of the knife at the crime scene was never taken. Also, the DNA on the young girl's clothing did not match Darren's. How could he assault her yet leave no trace of DNA especially when he "dragged her into the woods". This whole case just sickens me to no end I pray that Darren can find the strength within himself to fight.

How jaded a society do we live in where concrete, physical evidence holds no prevelance over speculation and hear-say. Is the community so hungry for vengeance and justice that they will make an innocent man pay and in turn ruin additional lives not to mention that of another child, his son.

I'm sorry, but are you serious? A JURY found him guilty, BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT, on hearsay and speculation?

oh, okay.
