I understand that dog owners should be held responsible for the dogs, but where exactly was his mom when this happened? I know for a fact that Tanner layed on the side of the road for 45 min to 1 hour before he was found, according to the testominy of the EMT that examined him at the scene. What mother dosen't check on her child periodically? I know she was in the house because I was on the phone with her from 3:44 until 4:07 pm and he was found around 4:15. You do the math. In her testimony, she was out side with him at 4:oo and watched him walk down the path between the houses seconds after she sent the little girls home. I really feel as though the person who should be held responsible has not been HELD RESPONSIBLE, and that's his mother.

I CANNOT BELIEVE ANYONE WOULD OR COULD HAVE THE AUDASITY TO TRY TO PUT THE BLAME ON ROXANNA! You are very wrong for that, when you were small do you remember your parents comming outside and checking on you every few minutes? I dont. I have pittbulls myself and they are nowhere vicious, but i still dont let them just roam the streets expecially knowing that they had already shown aggression to someone else the next town over. Tanner did not deserve this to happen to him, and roxanna doesn't deserve for any ignorant individual to get on here and try to insinuate that she deserves any punishment at all! I think the fact that Tanner is gone is more than enough punishment for the rest of eternity! You should be asking god to forgive you right now for ever even thinkinh any such thing! If you have nothing nioce to say, then KEEP YOUR DAMN MOUTH SHUT!

no the mother is not to blame the person at fault here got what they needed only seven years for something that changed so many lives for ever hardly seems fair to me I think they should have received harsher punishment.

I agree, I believe they shouldv'e given them a lot stiffer punishment. What seven but out in 2? Wow that will really teach them something, especially Mr. Smith who really showed no emotion at all. It's as if he didnt even care that his dogs mutilatted Tanners little body. I think when they get out they should never be allowed to own dogs again, if they dont even care that their dogs done all this in the first place

Too bad it's just not safe to go outside because some redneck won't control their dog. I remember when you could go outside and play for an hour and then check in. Now, you have to stay side by side with an adult to be protected from other stupid adults actions. It's not the mothers fault. Stupid people shouldn't have aggressive dogs.
