The most important piece of information in this Supreme Court decision is the Court's repeated use of the word's "state courts." Al Franken will take his seat in the U.S. Senate no later than April 10th.

This idiots continual disrespect for the process reinforces that he is unfit for this type of office. Too bad the Republicans couldn't find a viable candidate to run against him...you know, like anyone other than Coleman.

Maybe the people of minnesota should only pay half of their state taxes since we only have half of our senators. This has gone on long enough.

I agree, Norm Coleman should be seated ASAP.

Coleman should be ashamed. If someone like Al Franken gets close enough to over ride him by 225 votes, obviously constituents felt that Coleman wasn't doing his job! He is costing US, you and me, tax payers dollars for his court hearings to act like a spoiled brat. He may as well lay on the floor and kick his feet and scream 'its not fair'....Coleman has lost the last shred of respect I had for him. He should have just stepped down with some dignity. Its too late now and I am embarassed for him. If Coleman wins, the people at the bottom of the hill are just going to think it was rigged....Coleman - stop being a sore loser, go home, and start campaigning for the next election!!!

He is the VERY WORST thing that could happen to MN right now. Coleman is not much better. They both are for Illeagle immigrants (franken is for open borders) and that is the last thing we need right now in these horrible times.

Your posting name, "idiotic", certainly sums up your post. It has been said over and over, the use of vulgarity only demonstrates a severe lack of intellect. If you have something to say, why not say with it concise language.

You should've thought about that some six-odd years ago. The "idiots continual disrespect for the process" AND constant flip-flopping on key issues (counting IRAB's, Rule 9, etc.) not only shows that the FORMER USS Coleman is "unfit for this type of office" but is also a disgrace to the already disgraced republican party.

Yeah, really! Wasn't Alan Keyes available?

I agree, but he ought to be convicted first.
After all, we do have "innocent until proven guilty" standard in this country. But then, sure, 4 to 6 in Club Fed.

Debbie, thanks for posting!
I disagree. The VERY WORST thing that could be happening to MN right now is having someone carry on about the illegal immigrant issue without even knowing how to spell it. That would have to be the very worst! It's just gotta!

Carry on!

Well Pamela, what happened prior to the double-counting of votes when Coleman had a roughly 300 vote lead. Do we just forget about that fact as long a one of your liberal favorites becomes Senator. Sorry, I hope every Coleman-Supporter sends money to Norm to assist with the costs of this case. Franken is NOT our Senator. He lost this race - only an effort to tamper with votes produced this imaginary lead.

At this point I am so sick of all the people wishing for tossing coins. People! After 8 years of dubya and Phil Gramm dismantling our economy we simply cannot afford to toss any money. If you have any extra currency you wish to toss, send it to Norm Coleman. He is going to need it as soon as the trial is over next week. Club Fed vacations don't come cheap, ya know.

Don't hold your breath. The use of "State Courts" is only used on the context of "venue," do not try to read more in to it. Franken will not be Senator even after 4/10/09.

We teach our children to do their best, and if they lose, accept defeat with dignity. This classless display of winning at any cost is a travesty for Minnesota. If we required our politicians to play by the same simple rules we teach our kids, Norm would have retired from this mess with a semblance of respect and perhaps rebounded for the next election cycle. Now he appears so desperate to hang on that I'm not sure I trust his motives.

This news everyday is so interesting. I think we should have whole sections of the newspaper dedicated to it. I'm also happy to tell you that my toilet is not overflowing. Yes, I've been using it about every 15 minutes because I can't keep off the toilet with all of this political news going on. I do need to get some more toilet paper though. Hearing about Coleman and Franken have really helped with my constipation.
