If you knew this couple you wouln't feel so bad for them, a friend of mine has a kid with the guy and they abused him too. Her son came home from a visit with burns on his body, bruises, and a broken elbow. he's so cute n such a great kid, he didn't deserve what they did to him.

I think anyone who does this to a child is a piece of crap and deserve to go to jail.

SLCDSS are just a bunch of wortheless timeservers who must defend constantly what they do and how they do it. It's a preoccupation. How does that function to serve the needs of the poor or children? The turnover of caseworkers in the CPS unit in the last 5 years is the tip of the iceberg; training these "professionals" is another issue. BA/BS in pyschology or sociology with 30 undergrad hours, and these people are competent and proficient? Too many conflicts of interest in this unit. Too much petty bougeois self-serving morality with a smattering of authoritarianism. children and families deserve better from SLC DSS, but you'll never see it. These professionals just file grievances, walk through the step procedures, so as to force the administration's hands---money, the cost of the grievance process, stops the People from getting rid of this incompetent bunch. they destroy families, and the great number of real abuse cases goes on unchecked.

the only thing cps is good for now a days is a waste of tax dollars. all these so called people do that are supposed to protect innocent children look the other way, and then only after it is to late to do a dam thing. I am sure that a lot of people from here in Massena must remember how great CPS was in the little Sharlow boy case, remember calls came into to CPS from not only friends and family members but the mother herself begging for them to take that lil boy, and CPS just pretty much sat there like a bunch of dumb F*CKS with their thumbs up their A$$ES and did nothing. What happened to that little boy? Oh yes, he was chopped up and put in a tent in the back yard of the residence where the woman lived, that's what happened, because CPS wouldn't do a dam thing to help. In my opinion the entire CPS unit should just be dissolved because they are just collecting a paycheck for not doing a dam thing, so why not save the tax payers some money for a useless unit.

CPS of St Lawrence County had my family under their thumb for 4 & 1/2 yrs. Terrifying my kids , forcing me to place my child on mind altering, mood erasing, drugs which robbed him of his happiness, security, childhood, and his mind 6-11 yrs. He cant get that back. We found later nothing was wrong with my child (as I said all along) He was just a little boy dealing with a divorce and sad.
Dont count on Family court being fair.That woman is just as biased as the CPS Nazi bubbleheads that suck up to her..She knew nothing about my family or situation and used the testemony of CPS associate degree genuses to validate her judgements. She is at fault for placing my child on drugs.."drug your 6 yr old or lose him!" WTF? My son was misdiagnosed for the sole reason to sell more drugs via some wacked out psychologist who had it made in the shade because family court oked him to use my child as a human drug cabinette.
CPS lied they embellished ..they twisted everyword I said to ensure their job security.I had a cop come to court and lie saying he saw my child who was 2 & 1/2 ..pee on my van tire. First of all I didnt even have a vehicle there was no van and ..2nd my child is a girl. That would be some accomplishment for her to whiz on a tire. They had issues with my toddler being nude in her kiddie pool ( she would play in mud and jump in the pool all day long.) Evidently that offends the local perverts..mainly the civil servants.I dont know many people offended by a babies behind in her backyard. It all came to an end when Ms Ashley of CPS was caught lieing about a teachers statement.
The teacher never said anything at all negative about my child or her care. When the teacher notified the courts..POOF my case was just dropped ..they were out of my life.My name was slandered all over town and these people just get to move on and try to rip other families apart with their lies and BS.

I can understand frustration with CPS, but in this case, only one child was removed from the home. Upon further research, there were other children in the home. One of the youngest children was burned severely. The low life people that did this to the child deserve punishment and much more, in my opinion.
Granted services are stretched thin and some trivial cases may be taking up time of the more important. Maybe, if there were more case workers and time, this second "mishap" could have been prevented altogether.
Any adult that feels the need to hurt a child whether physically, emotionally, or verbally needs to be investigated and punished. With the above-mentioned "parents" this may have been prevented which, I find, extremely sad and disturbing. I can only pray that Miss Whitney and Mr Faunce get the treatment they deserve after doing this to their children. It take a scumbag to harm innocent children and turns my stomach. If y'all want to take your anger out on something, take it out on yourself, not a small child that is defenseless. Shame on them!
