Does Marine City use groundwater for the municipal drinking water supply?

I know several people in Marine City and its surrounding townships that have small levels of Arsenic in the well water on their land.

From what I understand, this isn't enough to hurt you if you just use it for showers (even though your flesh is your largest organ, so that may not be true--as this evidence suggests). However, there is no doubt that reliable people have said that if you use a place like Culligans or Rainsoft for Reverse Osmosis you are asking for trouble.

Places like Culligans might claim that the water is safe to drink using their process known as Reverse Osmosis. But a lot of the medical people say it isn't worth your life or the lives of your loved ones. Arsenic like that builds up in your body over time.

The bottom line is that you shouldn't be drinking well water if you live in those townships near Marine City. You are much better off spending a few dollars a month getting water from some of the stores.

And just so you know, places like VG's in Marine City may let you fill your water jugs in the store, but they are NOT a good place to get water from. Take a look at the brownish-orange water stains around that water fountain. This shows there is something in the water that is not healthy that you shouldn't be drinking. Generally speaking it is the places in Chesterfield or the Meijer at 26 Mile that are the places closest to Marine City that sell fresh water that can fill your water jugs safely.

Some people with this problem in Marine City live in the actual city of Marine City. This makes you wonder just how far-reaching the problem is and what all of the factors are in the problem. But this is not any type of coincidence. Too many people over too long a time period have been involved. Something is wrong with Marine City and its surrounding areas!

Thank you James for the youtube link. Thank you Janet for the important info on groundwater. You sound very knowledgeable about the situation in Marine City and surrounding areas. I investigate closed dumpsites (landfills) and their proximity to reported cancer clusters. There are communities across the country who drink water contaminated by chemicals in closed landfills. Marine City appears to take their municipal water from the river. Schools and parks are often built on top of closed dumps. Do you (or anyone else out there) know of any old dumpsites in Marine City or surrounding area?
