The layoffs are great; the county is bloated and has miserably failed to procure labor at rates that allow the county to provide services. Now the City of Spokane Valley has to cut back on the contract with the sheriff's office.

No public service is an employment program. It is a service program and when it is no longer affordable we cut back.
