The smith and a witness claim that they did not run the light that it was in fact mr gunn who ran the light causing an unavoidable crash from the smiths. The smiths will fight the ticket in court

Its sad a boy lost his life at that intersection but it didnt justify a stoplight in my eyes. Look how many have been hurt since.

Obviously alot of lives have survived without it because there has never been another fatality there in the past many many years that I am aware of. Again its a shame that young man died. But if they put up lights where every wreck occured we would have dozens of more unnessary stop lights. People just need to pay attention to not only their actions while driving but also be aware of others around us.

Jamie lost her only child. No one knows what that feels like, what the heartache was like, or the nightmares she experienced. She did what she thought was right so that no mother should have to feel what she felt that day and if she thinks a stop light is what needed to be done, by God let it be. I guarantee seeing all these 'that light is stupid' posts makes her feel disrespected. I feel disrespected and I'm not even related to them! I understand we've had mothers lose children in our town but Jamie lost her ONLY one! She has no other children to see Hammy in, no other children to see get married, go to prom, or see graduate for God's sake. she didnt get to experience ANY of that. how hard is it to pay attention to a stop light? maybe if it had been up a year ago, Hammy wouldn't have gotten confused and maybe he'd still be here. so before you guys bash that stop light, don't. you sound disrespectful and I'm embarrassed.

I lost a sibling in a wreck....I understand its devastating. But I dont agree with roadside memorials or the light to remind me of the tradegy...and I sure would feel aweful if someone was killed driving by my roadside memorial because they were distracted by its flowers or cross. My memories are in my heart where they should be.

The state should of got with school and moved the school entrance to meet the stop light that was already in Reo.
