Dogs are lethal weapons. Just as ex-convicts are not allowed to own guns, they should not be allowed to own dogs, either.

In addition, if this elderly man had been armed, he could have shot the dog. We need more more guns in everyone's hands, and loosened rules on loaded weapons, to defend against the incredibly dangerous out of control dog owners.

The owner of the pitbull[s] needs to go back to prison, and we need stricter laws regulating dog ownership.
