Solano County grand jury: Prisons in Vacaville need work

Following an inspection of the county's two prisons, the Solano County grand jury stated Wednesday that more could be done to reduce recidivism rates.

Want to reduce redicivism rates? Take away all of the comforts these animals have now, like tv, pay-per-view movies, rec rooms, dieticians, physical therapy, free legal, etc.
Take away their ability to congregate and establish gangs in prison by keeping their criminal asses locked the eff up for 23 hours a day. Re-establish work camps or chain gangs. Bring back the days of Alcatraz and Shawshank where the guards could beat them for stepping out of line.

THAT...would reduce redicivism rates. WTF do we need a freaking grand jury for??? Do you think China's rates are as high as ours are? What about any prison in South America, Mexico, Eastern Europe or Asia? Why do you think our prison systen is called "Club Fed"???

Sarah, guys like Emjoe don't go to prison. People like him are an asset to the country. They serve their country, have careers, clean records, pay their bills, marry like normal people and raise good kids, they plan for their futures, support themselves, put their kids through college, and are responsible.

The only thing a person in prison does is serve as a good example of a bad example.

Free speech is his right as one of those who SERVED this country, not himself, unlike Joe DirtBag locked up for committing crimes for choices HE/SHE made of their own free will.

What are the facts about being in prison? And what have you experienced while in prison that was so bad?

You people are ridiculous who do u think you are trying to say what to do to these people in prisons? I have no respects or care for rapist but for all othet people serving time in there i pray for. Noone knows there life and the reasons they had. You don't know if there parents were great,wealthy,or educated many people make mistakes and many need help but can't get any or a lot get turned away. So don't be so quick to judge take a good look at yourself and your family before u think bout throwing that rock. I've never stepped a foot in prison or jail and i am educated. But my rescts go to. Hose that have and my prayers aswell.
