I didn't have much of a problem with Waste Management during the strike. It's a difficult situation for both the company and employees. What I didn't like was how Waste Management handled the garbage "catch-up" after the strike. After hearing rumors that WM would pick up garbage in Mountlake Terrace on Saturday (8-4-12), I checked the WM website periodically on Friday evening. Nothing had been posted about Saturday pick-ups, only Friday's. If cans are expected to be placed at the curb by 6:30 AM, shouldn't we get some notice? They also seemed to only robo-dial customers with home phones. They didn't contact me on via email or on my cell phone. I live at the beginning of a route, so I can't just rush cans out as soon as I hear the trucks. WM will be getting an email from me. Okay, I'm done bitching.
